Neighbourhood: Haneda / Kamata
Haneda / Kamata is known for its airport with many hotels popping up with the increase in international flights. It’s also an area that offers many shrines and temples with ancient origins including Anamori Inari Shrine or Ikegami Honmonji temple which is visited by more than 300,000 people in October's Buddhist Oeshiki festival. The area around Kamata station is lined with restaurants and is lively until late at night. In particular, it’s known for the large collection of tasty gyoza specialists.

Walked the whole park whilst it was drizzling with rain and it was beautiful lots to see in the park, water features, statues, plants, lake, stages, wildlife. A very pleasant walk indeed. You can even ride a bike all the way around worth a visit and doesn't cost you a cent.

A park that surprised us with its beauty and how extremely well-kept it was. We crossed it on the way to the Shinagawa aquarium. Nice to walk and relax.

The renovation has made it lose its charm.

The renovation of the north side has removed all the trees that once attracted insects and birds and allowed people to feel the four seasons, leaving the park just as beautiful as the other parks in the area.

The removed trees helped people to forget the hustle and bustle of the main road and calm their minds, but the atmosphere that made people want to spend time relaxing here is gone.
