Ueno Park is full of great places to explore so it's hard to see everything...but it would be a shame to miss this lovely shrine. Follow the orange torii gates down a few steps into a peaceful Inari Shrine surrounded with lush trees and flowers....More

The Hanazono Inari Shrine is at the bottom of a large avenue of Cherry Blossom trees where you can see the classic red Torii gates leading towards the shrine. Walking down steps to the shrine is very pleasant as this is a small compound made...More

People come to this shrine to pray for love, fertility and good relationships. It is tucked away inside Ueno Park but worth a walk through and pray for love to come your way. You can also write your wish on the board and hang it...More

Inari Shrine with a small gated way. It's easy to miss it in this big park, but totally worth a walk trough it.

This little Inari shrine in a corner of Ueno park is easily overlooked. There is a lot to look at and do in the park and so an unassuming torii gate by the path can be missed. I'd recommend spending a few minutes exploring, especially...More

From a path in Ueno Park, the downward stairs through the red torii take you to Hanazono Inari Shrine. The small shrine is at the bottom, tucked in a corner surrounded by trees and up against the steep wall of the hillside. The fox statues...More

Located right beside another shrine in Ueno Park. It has very small size torii gates (red gates that signifies the entries into a shrine).

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
