We came here daily during out 6 days in the Asakusa area of Tokyo. We delight in shopping in the food hall downstairs for fresh foods to take away and we found several small shops, or departments perhaps in the upstairs area. It was all...More

As with other malls, this is on the train line and is a nice indoor break after walking strong Asakusa or the Sumida river area. You can find affordable toys and home good here as well.

Asakusa Ekimise is a shopping complex next to the Skytree that has many shops and restaurants and department stores and can buy gifts and small sweets

Located at Asakusa station of Tobu Skytree line. Local department store but not sophisticated. Try underground floor to buy some food for your lunch, or beer/wine party. 東武浅草駅の駅ビル。デパ地下でお弁当を買って、隅田川散策のお供にいかがですか? お酒も売っているので、おつまみを揃えてパーティーもいいかも。

Asakusa Ekimise is a really convenient mall above the train station. There is a well-stocked basement supermarket where we bought daily groceries. The Japanese sweets section was a feast for the eyes. The floors above have a great 100 yen and 300 yen store, which...More

Free view deck where you can see the Tokyo Sky Tree, another option to see the Tokyo Sky Tree from Asakusa, recommended.

Shopping center like many in Tokyo. But in this one, there is a roof place with beautiful view for Tokyo Skytree tower that is the second highest building in the world.

Look around the small shops on the first floor offering all kinds of sweets and cakes. You can buy most of them boxed up as a souvenir. The train to Nikko leaves from the same building. Instead of waiting at the station you can do...More

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
