The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

Always a marvellous-looking building, it's a bit hard to see in all its glory at the moment as it's being redeveloped in time for the 2020 Olympic Games.
At that time I expect it to look fantastic.

Working on it right now in prep for olympics, so nothing to see right now. Nostalgic if you are old enough to remember other events being staged here

Wait until the work is complete, although you can’t help seeing it if you walk to Yoyogi Park from shibuya

This stadium is so outstanding & iconic that you can notice it from afar. Perfect example of sustainable architecture considering it will be used for Tokyo Olympic 2020, a good 56 years since it first being used for Olympic '64. Walking towards the stadium from Harajuku station & Yoyogi Park gives you a grandeur effect. Must see for architecture lover.

This venue is still being used and has passed the test of time. The building still appears very modern and up to date which is a great tribute to the architect. We only visited from the outside a took some great pictures from the bridge crossing to Yoyogi Park

We were disappointed in the lack of greenery in Yoyogi Park and decided to check this place out. It is very noticeable from the street because of its immense size. We didn’t explore every inch of the place but it was sure nice and the people here were extremely friendly. Stop by to check it out when you visit Yoyogi Park.

Great location, can't miss it, when going to Yoyogi Park and Harajuku. Very crowded, but still worth seeing.

We did not attend an event inside the actual stadium - which is a very impressive structure, but instead went to two separate festivals held on the grounds around it ... one was a Cambodian festival and the other was the Gay Pride Festival. A nice location for events.
