The area around Kamata station is lined with restaurants and is lively until late at night. In particular, it’s known for the large collection of tasty gyoza specialists.

Big observation deck, where you can enjoy watching the planes coming and going with in the background the Tokyo skyline. Loads of seats available as well as vending machines.

Excellent and very efficient airport. Employees are especially polite, immigration is quick, and security was a breeze.

Nice observation deck. You get a nice view of the surrounding and the planes. Open 24 hours.

This is a very modern and well planned airport.

We had 2 hours between planes and you need it since the airport is so large. Thank goodness for the many people movers which helps yopu speed along. We were there twice and made it to our connecting flights in the 2 hour window with time to spare. However, you do go through security again when transferring to a connecting flight.

This is my first time to experience the Tokyo International Airport and I was so amazed. I've already visited a lot of airports in the world and Tokyo is incomparable. So hi-tech. Their toilet is the most advanced I've ever seen in the entire world...Salute to the Japanese people!

You just need to press the button..and you'll have your satisfaction 😊

Had 10 days in Japan and watched 5 games at various stadiums including Yokohama, Kobe, Toyota and Tokyo International.

Great experience inside the stadiums while watching the games. Getting to and from the games was a different story. Even with all the public transport in most cities, game day is chaos. Trains overloaded to and from games. No real shuttle systems or game day busses. Drainage after games are horrendous and very dangerous. Crowds pile up on walkways as no streets are closed to ease congestion. Stations and trains overloaded. Volunteers are wonderfully friendly but can’t really help with simple questions as they don’t speak English.

Still found many guys (foreigners) selling tickets outside stadiums. Games are really great, but the food at stadiums are not that great and very limited options. Beer is expensive at stadiums, around $700 for a can. Best bet is buy at the supermarkets and drink outside. You can drink on the sidewalks:-)

Still have to mention that all the Japanese people are the most friendly nation I have met and seen on this trip.

As for JR passes. They are worth the money if you travel for more than 5 days including outside of Tokyo. You still need Suica cards for certain metro and subways. Just remember to return card at JR station offices before travelling to airport, as no one really knows anything about the return process and refunding the money.

I found an image (attached) that explained a little about how to do this at Haneda Airport, but I recommend doing this at the JR stations before travelling.

Cheers

During our trip to Japan, we visited three airports: in Narita, Haneda and Osaka-Kansai and visited the observation platforms in all three. Of course, it is better than Osaka out of competition not only in Japan, but maybe in the world. Haneda has observation platforms both in the domestic terminal and in the international terminal where we spent the night. The advantage of Haneda in that, it works around the clock, unlike Narita, which is closed at night. The deck is usual. Open, not closed mesh. Making photo is convenient руку. Japan Airlines aircrafts are on the left, ANA Dreamliners wait for a take-off on right. Planes of foreign airlines are not seen. The main international traffic is concentrated in Narita, only charters and early/late flights are made from Haneda, although by total traffic it is the fifth airport of the planet and far ahead of Narita.
