Yes, it's basically a copy of the Eiffel Tower painted orange and white. But it's a landmark, and one not to be missed if you have the time. It's a easy to get to, and is lit up at night. There's even a website you...More

Tokyo Tower was great. It was a extraordinary experience and the view was fantastic. The people was really nice as usual (in Japan). It was built 60 years ago so the inside wasn't as nice as the Tokyo Skytree but from the Tokyo Tower, you...More

Typical of any of the towers you might visit around the world. The very top is under renovation but the view from 150m up is still good. The lift has glass so you get an interesting view on the way up.

It's like the French's Eiffel Tower as the city's most beloved symbol but has to give way to the Tokyo Sky Tree as Japan's 2nd tallest building. You have to see it at night as it sparkles beautifully. We only strolled around FootTown to the...More

Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris
wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of
shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a
hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is
very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has
ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find
restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The
neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much

I went during the daytime. Night would probably be prettier viewing, but maybe not so photogenic. The markings on the glass would probably be less noticeable at night. Daytime is great to see the detail of the cityscape, and... More
