We did two food tours in Japan and the Tsukiji tour with Amy was by far the best. Amy is a wonderful host, speaks perfect English and is passionate about food and her work. Without her we would not have felt like we really got to see the inside of the fish market (I'm sure we could have wandered aimlessly... More

I highly recommend booking a tour with Food Tours Tokyo during your stay in the city! The thousands of restaurants and shops lining Tokyo's streets can seem overwhelming, if not impossible to navigate even for the most devout travelers and foodies. There is truly no better way to get to know a city, its culture, and its cuisine than through... More

I did the Kimono and street foods tour with my daughter. Amy met us at the train station we were taken to get our Kimonos fitted. Amy was very hospitable and had our best interests at heart. On the way she asked questions to find our likes and was able to customize the tour to suit us. Walking around the... More

My mom and I recently did the Kimono and Street Food Asakusa Tour with Amy and absolutely loved it! The experience of putting on the kimono and walking the streets of Tokyo was so much fun. Not to mention the street food was delicious! Amy was able to show us different foods I probably would not have tried if I... More

We booked our full day 8-hour tour with Amy at the tail-end of our honeymoon and would do it all over again in a second! Amy was extremely accommodating, flexible and willing to tailor/customize the schedule on a whim in accordance with what we wanted to see and do. We had already spent 8 days in Japan, 3 of them... This tour was amazing and a great exprience! Amy the tour guide was very knowledgeable with the market area and was very patience with me and explaining everything to me when i asked questions. Also had a delicious omakase lunch at a hidden gem sushi restaurant. Anyone wanting to do this tour this is a must.

My traveling buddy's and my culinary adventure with Akika was BRILLIANT. Not only was it a fascinating way to experience Shinjuku nightlife as a local might, but also was a great way to learn more about Tokyo in general. Akika could not have been more charming and engaging, talking about everything from food to fashion and back again. I have... More

My husband and I and our two boys went with Amy as our guide for this tour. We visited two fabulous restaurants that we could not have found on our own. Amy is a lot of fun and had great insights on Tokyo. She also helped make sure the picky kids had something to eat. After the restaurants we had... More

This was such a fun tour. We walked and talked extensively through an immense market. There was a lot of food available through local vendors. We sampled many, many dishes. Akika Yasumi was a fantastic tour guide. She answered all our questions and communicated extremely well. The highlight to me was the sushi restaurant at the end. It was one... More
