Weird combination of San Francisco and New York. The Rainbow Bridge kinda reminds you of the Bay bridge in San Francisco and of course they have a mini Statue of Liberty. If it weren't for the life-size Gundam Mech you could pretend it's not Japan. Great view and great shopping if you like malls. The Yurikamome is a tourist attraction... More

I go to Odaiba to see the Liberty statue and also to sight seeing the port-city of Japan. This place is so beyond my imagination with a fabulous view to the beach. The air is so fresh and the streets are clean. I can enjoy the Logo land and go shopping all the time. There are so many big stores... More

We came over to Aqua City after shopping in Diver City on New Year's Day. This mall is a bit more up-scale and it seemed less shops were willing to offer discounts. However the dining options were really comprehensive and many of the restaurants here have great views of the bay.

We went to Odaiba this morning. It was like a small New York in the middle of Tokyo, everything was perfect from the view, weather to stores. We went to Aqua City Odaiba for shopping. There were a lot of on-sale stores in it which came from famous branches such as Zara, H&M, Forever 21 etc... I love it so... More

Aqua City Odaiba is a good big Mall close to Odaiba station, while there is another Mall DECKS Tokyo Beach next to this Mall which is close to Odaiba Kaihin Koen(Seashore Park) station of the Yurikamome Monorail. There are many good shops and restaurants where you can eat overlooking the Railbow Bridge and Tokyo Bay in this Mall. See the... More

Aqua City is one of three mega malls in Obaida - but unlike the others, doesn't have that open atrium feeling and seems cavernous and closed in. Their basement food court is rather small and closes at 9pm, but is also surrounded by a couple of moderately priced restaurants.

For those who don't like shopping centres or shopping, this is a huge waste of time (especially if you add in travel time from Tokyo). The mall is quite expansive. The much vaunted Ramen Food Court is underwhelming and overpriced. We lunched at a ramen shop there and concluded that we had wasted a meal in Tokyo. A different floor... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
