I found Studio Geisha Cafe in an online search for off-the-beaten-path type activities in and around Tokyo. Their website was very easy to navigate and they responded to my email inquiry quickly. English is well-spoken, written, and understood. I was staying in Yokosuka on business and was looking for some unusual things to do during my stay and thought this... More

My partner and I had a full Geisha makeover and it was probably one of the best experiences I have lived in my life. For a few hours, I saw myself transformed into a different person to become a real Geisha. I could not recognise myself and the photos they took were amazing. Michuru is the lady in charge of... There are many things to do in Tokyo, but ever since i saw that this establishment takes make up and dressing very serious and you really look authentic once they done I made the booking. It was easy to find and the staff was very friendly and professional. It was not cheap but we enjoyed every minute! The pictures came... More

I surprised my teenage daughter by getting this for her during a recent Mother-Daughter trip to Japan. It was truly the highlight of our entire trip, and I just watched!! But even with the helpful map emailed to you after booking, it can be a little difficult to find as it is in a smaller apartment building. Just give yourself... More

I first came across these wonderful studio in 2010 on my first trip, and was amazed by it. It gave me and my friends the oppurtunity to dress as samurai and geisha.. In September 2014 I went back again.. They were still as lovely as ever, to enjoy the full experience including specialised make up you can anything between $150-$220,... More

I was staying in Tokyo and didn't want to make the long trip to Kyoto to dress up and have my pictures taken of me as a geisha, and so I found this place within Tokyo, and I'm so lucky that I did! There was complete personal service and great attention to details! I was dressed up like a Princess... More
