Though I went here last year after my marathon, we decided to drop by to say Hi! to Gundam. The imposing giant inspiration never ceases to amaze me. People flocked around it this time. And good thing we saw this for the last time as it will be replaced soon by another yet giant figure which is the Unicorn Gundam... More

It was fantastic. Gundam moves and speaks, Japanese of course. We ate kutsdon, excellent ramen with seaweed and a small egg. There is a mall that has ceiling art reminiscent of Michealangelos' masterpiece

The big Gundam in front of the shopping mall is definitely eye catching. Though it is going to be moved away soon, thank you for bringing a good memory to all fans. Food court is awesome. The quality expectation is higher than our thoughts. If you are visiting this mall, please spend your meal time here.

We actually wanted to see the Gundam display so we hop over to this Diver City Mall. Many shops inside and is not crowded. Lots of eateries and food option available. Is kids friendly too. Is spacious and clean

Was busy watching the Gundam display, went in foodcourt for a quick ramen. Wife choices of food and reasonable price.

I have recently been here twice, just passing by and to go to Round 1 in the 7th floor of the mall. If you are just passing by Odaiba, it is nice to see the Gundam in front of Diver City. It is not impressive, but it is an interesting kind of art. The importance given to animation and manga... More

We were here on January 1st, when a lot of shops offered lucky/happy bags as New Year's celebration discounts. Had a blast shopping here. Plenty of brands to enjoy. Didn't eat at the food court but from what I saw it should be pretty good.

This shopping mall is accessible thru the Yurikamone line via Shimbashi station. It is worth the trip as there are bunch of shops inside the mall. As a matter of fact, you can see the Gundam robot statue. Must visit for tourists.

Diver City Tokyo Plaza is a shopping plaza. This was our last stop of 2016 Autumn leaf-viewing Trip before we checked in Tokyo Dome. This up-scaled shopping plaza was crowded with shoppers, very busy. Gundam in front of the plaza seemed to be a main attraction to locals.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
