I never been to Tokyo university even working near there, finally I entered the labyrinth. 職場が近いのに、一度も足を踏み入れたことのなかった東京大学。ついに先日潜入に成功しました（笑） 思ったよりも広くて迷いつつ、弥生門から正門に抜け道。 かなり古い建物が多いのかと思いきや、スタバとかもあってびっくり。 今度は昼間、行ってみよう。

If you are coming from or going to the Tokyo Dome or Ueno Park, or just strolling through Bunkyo-ku, a lovely Tokyo neighborhood where I have lived, the University of Tokyo, one of Japan's leading university, is worth a visit. It's a walk-through.
I was visiting the university on business but I enjoyed looking around the campus too. There are some great gardens in the centre and interesting architecture. The shop sells interesting products produced by academics past and present.

We went to see the new statue of Hachiko with Professor Ueno. It was located a few metres from the main gate of the Faculty of Agriculture. It was a heart-warming statue. The restored Hinoki cypress doors of the main gate were also impressive.
