こちらは、旧日光街道に面し、江戸時代より続く歴史ある宿場町として栄えた町であります。
今でも昔の面影を感じる建物もいくつか残っており、人通りも多く、活気がありました。

北千住宿場町商店街の中で鑑賞出来る建物として【横山家住宅】が有名で 多くの方が【かどやの槍かけだんご】迄で足を止められる方が多いと思いますが もう少し北方向（荒川）に足を伸ばすと【板垣家邸宅】や【名倉医院邸宅】がありますので 邸宅鑑賞に関心持っておられる方にお薦めします（但し 横山家同様 外観鑑賞のみ）。又 北千住宿場町商店街の足元を見ると《千住宿》の装飾ﾀｲﾙが道路に埋め込んであり、街灯には歌川広重の版画【日光道中】が描かれており ここが《旧日光街道》であることを感じさせてくれます。私が訪問した時間は 既に各店舗がｵｰﾌﾟﾝしていた時間で見る事が出来ませんでしたが 商店街の何軒かは 足立高校・美術部による《日光道中》をﾓﾁｰﾌとした ｼｬｯﾀｰ・ｱｰﾄがあるようなので 《千住宿》気分により浸り方は 商店街の休日をﾁｴｯｸされてから訪問された方が良いかも知れません。

タイムスリップしたような、時が止まってる感じがゆったりとしていてよかったです。
いろんな面白いお店がいっぱいで、安いし、いろんな年代がごちゃまぜになっていて飽きずに見られました。
ちょっと雨が降りましたが、咲き始めた紫陽花がまたいい雰囲気で、なんとも言えず美しかったです。
ぶらぶらと歩くのにもってこいなところです。
いろんな面白いお店がいっぱいで、安いし、いろんな年代がごちゃまぜになっていて飽きずに見られました。
ちょっと雨が降りましたが、咲き始めた紫陽花がまたいい雰囲気で、なんとも言えず美しかったです。
ぶらぶらと歩くのにもってこいなところです。

北千住にいくつかある商店街のひとつです。
お目当てのお店がこの商店街からちょっと入った所にあったので、商店街も散策しました。ファミレスやお団子屋さん、洋菓子のアウトレット店などリーズナブルなお店が多かったように思います。ところどころに昔の宿場町を感じるレトロな建物が点在していて見所もありました。
街の駅という名前の観光案内所もこの商店街沿いにあったので、地図をもらって散策に役立ちました。アーケードにはなってなかったので雨の日はちょっとつらいかも。

通称、宿場町通りと呼ばれていますが、どう見ても普通の賑やかな商店街です。飲食店も雑貨店もなんでもあるところ。平日の夕方に訪れましたが、買い物客で賑やかでした。もちろん探せば古民家も見つかります。

週末は昼間っからあいている飲み屋が少なくない。街の中をぶらりとしながら気になるお店に入って一杯やるのが一興。
路地裏は下町そのもの。ディープな感じがたまらない。ところどころに古い建物があったりして，玉石混淆さが，おもしろい。

旧日光街道、東武線沿線という事で街を挙げて盛り上げていこうとしています。外観の志向を凝らしたレストランや飲み屋、マッサージ屋さんがあります。日中時間帯は、観光協会がありますので、そこに寄って情報を集めるのが良いです。

千住大橋を渡ると松尾芭蕉の生誕360年を記念する銅像があり、ここから旧日光街道の宿場町が始まります。江戸時代の面影が残っている部分はかなり少ないですが、それでも街道に並ぶ家屋には、昔の屋号と何の商売をしていたかが書かれた看板が表示されており、散歩の目を楽しませてくれます。歴史好きにはお勧めです。

この通りは”旧日光街道”だったんですね。それでこの辺りに宿場町ができたようです。
”横山家住宅”は 江戸時代後期の建築で商家（紙問屋）の面影を今に伝えています。 庇の柱には、官軍と戦った彰義隊の武士が切りつけた刀傷が残っているそうです。 こちらの建物は、”絵馬屋 吉田家”です。 江戸時代から際物問屋として、絵馬や凧などの絵を描いていたそうです。
さらに歩きますと、可愛い建物が見えてきました。”千住 街の駅”です。
この通りの観光案内所と休憩所を兼ねたような施設ですね。
さらに進むと、”ドンレミー アウトレット”の看板があります。
お菓子の工場直販の安いアウトレットみたいです。 お店の前のカフェ風のテーブルで試食です。 この商店街、いろんなものがあって楽しいですね。

駅から近い商店街です。昔の建物は外観だけのところもあれば、営業してるお店もあり
、コンビニスィーツのアウトレット等、今のお店も含めて散策楽しいところです。個性的な小さなレストランもテレビで紹介されてました。
