Lovely old church next to Breamore House. Could spend an afternoon here meditating, and soak in the atmosphere from years gone past.

Lovely old church, with many surviving pieces, including wall paintings, a Rood, and an Anglo-Saxon inscription. Macabre wall painting of Judas hanging himself. Lots of hatchments inside as well. Scary ladder to the bell chamber!

A Saxon church dating from between 980 and 1020 AD that is a 'must' if you are passing or walking near Breamore. Just one warning, if you are trying to combine it with Breamore House then beware that the latter is closed on Saturdays (as...More

Beautifully presented angle-saxon church - lots of good information available to make the most of the visit. Lovely to find the church open and decorated wonderfully for easter. And swallows already resident in the porch - above a stunning Anglo Saxon rood.

Just a great example of a church of that era. An unexpected and joyous find during a walk in the area. it was beautifully maintained and clearly loved and appreciated.

This must be one of the best preserved saxon village churches in the country. It is in a truly peaceful position. History is everywhere, what the building could tell us if it could speak.

Attended this lovely Church this morning for the funeral of a very old friend. Such a beautiful day, Autumn sunshine, crystal clear blue sky. A county burial, with grace and dignity worthy of the lady departing this world. Reminiscent of Thomas Hardy.
