We returned for Autumn in Barbagia in Orgosolo. The town, surrounded by mountains, is a site of open-air works of art where the authors have immortalized their emotions, their history and the memory of unique people and events that touch our hearts and are always current with murals. . The Sardinian soul involves you and excites you like the warmth of the people who live there.

Known for its morales, the wall paintings are seen throughout the.town. All kinds of public statements on the buildings or otherwise an indication of what you would find within the buildings as well as the interesting murals take time to take in the magnificent views of the valleys below

A novel way to draw attention to an otherwise sleepy town

We just wandered from street to street which under the beating sun meant frequent stops in the shade and a delicious fruitjuice bar (can't remember the name sorry). Every lane and angle has murals to admire. A delightful way to experience local culture.

On holiday in Sardinia, we visited Orgosolo.
Very nice village, neat, small, located in the mountains of Barbagia in the province of Nuoro.
It seems that in this country there are over 1500 murals that tell about popular struggles, wars, some related to Sardinian history, others with a social and political background.
It is definitely worth a walk and Recommendation to look carefully at those wonderful murals!
