They need to warm up the spa and public areas. Gardens are lovely and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Just a feeling of them being a little tired and worn out. Cleanliness, exceptional. Would I go back, possibly but will look elsewhere first.

A return visit and I felt standards had really dropped. Firstly, the positives.. Staff lovely, treatment was very good. But.... The majority of the fee for the day spa goes on the spa facilities themselves and these need attention and maintenance. Both the main pool...More

We booked a couples spa day here on a Saturday which included a three course buffet lunch with a glass of prosecco, a full body massage each and time in the sleep retreat. I was pleasantly surprised when arriving as the facilties are very modern...More

This was defiantly an adults only hotel and although we love children it gives a very peaceful relaxing time away from the real world. The large pool is certainly cooler than the hydro pool but defiantly not cold. The hot tube is a wonderful warm...More

Went for the day with my sister. The gym was not state of the art (heaviest slam ball was a 5kg, I was looking for a 12kg!) it was very basic. The pool had sand on floor for some reason, the edge of the pool...More

The spa at first glance and in the photos looks lovely, but the temperature of the water and bar area is freezing, especially when you have a robe on! The spa and hotel also seems to have an infestation of flies which is very off...More

My partner and I have just left from a two night visit. I have come away feeling very unimpressed! The spa is quite basic, the pool is like something from a leisure centre. The Salt inhalation and steam room were good and nicely scented. The...More

No response from Management re my trip to Lifehouse, which is really disappointing and just shows that whilst they have a great set-up they are not interested in dealing with any complaints and therefore ignoring the comments re the coldness in the entire Spa, with...More

Dear Alan, Thank you so much for my mention within your testimonial. It was much appreciated. As you are aware I am a more mature therapist which unfortunately many high street salons, spas and agencies seem to have issues with. What happened to good old fashioned experience, knowledge and wisdom along with the ability to think out side of the tick box. Recently I was rudely asked my age which I am sure you are well aware of The Equality Act 2010 put in place to protect an individuals characteristics, one being ageism.... This local high street spa who carried out an interview in the reception area was more concerned about what products I was trained in as apposed to asking about the range of clientele I have worked with in my 25 year career.... that being all ages, cancer patients and a hospice environment. I was appalled and explained that I was not at liberty to answer that question, however I knew even before that I would not be placed and thank goodness too! I have to say on behalf of Life House Spa they do employ a range of therapists including the more mature. I would have been offered a permanent position if the distance was not an issue. Luckily after being in the industry a very long time I have a good private client base that keeps my ticking along. Thanks Alan. x

When I was at Lifehouse Spa in November, the bar area was lovely and clean and the staff were super helpful, unlike Eden Hall Spa where I went in August which was dirty and slovenly in every area; bar, lounge, pool, etc.
