The Wine Museum is the oldest winery in the Canary Islands and one of the ten oldest in Spain. The current owners are the fifth generation of a family who bought it from another family in 1880. It's placed in the protected zone of "La Geria" which was covered with lava and ash after the volcanic eruptions from 1730 to 1736. Inside, you will find wine presses, pumps, crushers, stills ... etc., everything from the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. We invite you on a walk through our vineyard in the heart of la Geria and to taste our Wines. Come and visit our winery, we will be pleased to attend you

We went here on my wife's 50th Birthday as she loves wine and wanted to go so we booked to do the tour which was very informative and interesting. It's best to book as they do different tours for different languages then there you get to try 2 wines at the end of the tour

Our visit was enhanced by the lovely guide, Lily who spoke perfect English and had a great sense of humour. We enjoyed tasting the different wines & ended up buying 4 bottles! It was surprising that the way in which the wine has been produced has only relatively recently been modernised. This is the oldest Bodega in Lanzarote and worth... More

The winery is nicely situated among the surreal volcanic desolation and it has a beautiful cactus garden. It's a good place to drop by for a glass of wine or coffee if the road takes you there by chance. However, for a dedicated wine enthusiast I would not recommend the place. It happened that the only impressive feature of the... More

I'm sorry that you had this impression of our red wines. They are very different if ou compare them with wines of la Rioja. They are also wines with high quality, proof of this is, medals of competitions of the OIV (organization vine wine) in Ribera del Duero, famous area for the red wines in Spain, or in France. You... The museum is interesting, showing the instruments used to make wine in the past, and the wines tasty. No cafe available though. The small cacti garden is lovely

It was pretty crowded when we arrived. We didn't got the tour because we had to wait a long time for it so we tasted some wines. We went to other bodegas and we thought the price-quality was better at the smaller ones. Personnel knew a lot about wines but wasn't that friendly.

Dear MMLGW Thanks for your comments, firstly, we are sorry that you couldn´t join a guided tour, but guided tours have to be booked in advance because we do them in 5 languages. In addition these dates are high season so we receive enough visits in our museum and store. We apologize for any inconvenience More

Amazing to see how grapes are grown on this volcanic island. There were plenty of good wines to taste and it proved to be a worthwhile excursion from our Celebrity Cruise.

This is a newly created centre and is part of a network of museums created to protect nature and experiment with the beauty of the island. This is an underwater art museum and all the sculptures are made of concrete - and they must been seen to be believed, it is not yet fully completed, I'm sure that it will... More

We came to El Grifo to taste some nice wines, and it was a very enjoyable experience. At first we thought that the tasting area was very small, but behind the small bar there is a very nice tarrace and indoor area where you can enjoy your wines. For 11 euros you can taste 6 wines, and get some complimentary... More
