For anyone with imagination, this is a magical and precious spot, full of birdsong and greenery. It also indicates how much has been lost on the island to sugar and, later, banana plantations. The easy walk keeps close to the road but the route back is deep in woodland. There is an excellent little exhibition building and signage is good. Parking is limited so, as others have said, go earlyish.

We really enjoyed this hike. Not too hard, not too long. Just right!
The laurel Silva forest is mysterious as if at any minute something is going to magically appear. Either a fairy or a dinosaur.
Nice in the middle of the week when there is very few hikers in the area giving you a chance to be alone with this magical place.
We did Moya just before we headed towards Los Tilos. Thumbs up for Moya as well.

Landmark where a sample of Macaronesian laurisilva of Gran Canaria is preserved. Small circular route on foot beautiful and suitable for the whole family.

We went here for the laurel woods walk. The available walks are not long (under 5 kms). One of them (the red one) was walking near the road next to the wooden fences. Not my cup of tea... And too busy to really enjoy the beauty of nature in the weekend.

One of the reserves near Moya and just off the GC700. The circular walk is only 2km, with climbing initially, but still enjoyable. There are 2 other signed walks including one to Moya. The Los Tilos restaurante is also open from Wednesdays, 12.00 - 17.00 for drinks, snacks or meals.

Go there just to walk through? Well, if you are in the neighbourhood, but I wouldn't go just for greenery. Much more impressive is the town of MOYA, perched as much of it is atop a steep, steep high ridge.Go see Moya, take in Los Tilos.

We actually took a road trip and went to Moya, from there this was an route to get to Cruz de Tejeda so we went for it. It was really narrow and steep. If you going by car like we did be sure to be comfortable to reverse and meet traffic where there is not enough space.

We made quick stops along way the road and went in the woods a couple of times. You also got a constant view from the hillside.

I would recommend this to anyone that likes landscape and nature. But i recommend warm clothes it was 23 degree Celsius at our hotel, but only 12 degree Celsius at reserve.

Great visitor centre with information about local species. It was wonderful to see the native forest and we saw the endemic blue chaffinches - they seemed quite tame. Sadly the main walking route through the forest was closed off (due to danger of rock fall?). Hopefully it will be open again soon.
