The only thing wrong with this museum is that the English commentaries are very sparse and few and far between. Not everyone wants to or can easily use an app. The Maya exhibition on, I think, until end of January is very well done and...More

A very interesting museum giving insight into the history of Alicante. Also there are displays replicating archeological digs which are very informative. We were also lucky to catch a Mayan exhibition which finishes Jan 2018. It was fascinating And if museums are your thing it’s...More

Ventured mid week afternoon, disembarked the tourist bus to visit. Good value, and the exhibition was well laid out and interesting. The low level lightning, may make it difficult for people who are unsteady on their feet.

There is an EU exhibition of the Mayan culture which is well presented and fascinating. I could have spent a good half day looking at this alone. A great addition to the usual MARQ exhibits for Alicante.

Way out of the tourist infested areas, but so worth it if you are into history. Almost like virtual reality set up, easily one of the best museums I've visited. They kicked me out at siesta time (2:00) and then I went back to finish...More

Even my wife who is not really into museums was overawed. The presentation of the exhibits is almost an art in itself. Luckily the Maya exhibition was on and it was astounding. I do agree that there were too few explanatory notes in English but...More

We came here on recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. The highlight for us was a superb Mayan exhibition about the lost cities. It was really well laid out with amazing sound effects too. Fortunately for us too all the boards were in...More
