If you are daunted by steps Guadalest village is not for you, Narrow streets, and lots of steps. It's a really interesting, touristy village to visit. Complete with Castle and a delightful village square, set out with tables from the cafe's there. The food is normal fare, nothing especial. The landscape views are fantastic and if you have the legs,... More

A village built on a cliff top overlooking a stunning valley, & the only access is through a tunnel! Amazing to think how this was all built, really interesting & well worth a visit. We had something to eat in the town just outside the tunnel as it was quieter & a little cheaper. Go, you won't regret it

Amazing scenery - nice drive. Car park cost €2 for entire day, entry to the castle €4 per adult but well recommended for the views you get from the top

This visit was arranged by friends who now live in Murcia. Together with the small town and its area this is an outstanding area of Spain to visit. You must visit the castle only 4 euros. Small shops and restaurants make the day complete.

Well worth a visit we toured the area on a cruise excursion, views are spectacular. First stop was a tourist trap don't get off the bus unless you need to use the bathroom. Lots of shopping in the village.

Many people recommended this as a day trip, we spent 2 hours there, PLENTY of time! A quick walk up to the castle and overlook of reservoir. If we had time we would have hiked around and away from the touristy shops.

The view is really worth the drive from Alicante. The little shops are worth visiting as well, even if they are touristry.

If you are travelling in the Benidorm, Alicante or Costa Blanca area in general then you must put Guadalest Valley on your list of places to visit. This place is stunning, the views are amazing. The town or castle it's self was built into the mountain side in the 11th or 12th century and survives as a great reminder to... More
