Staff is very friendly, environment and cleanness very good.
Some places is quite slippery, should have take some action, with the price ticket.... I would expected more not stuffy, because the day we visit is not hot sunny day, but still we are sweating like crazy....
Should also suggested more senior citizen friendly, and have some family combo ticket price.
Thank you, have a nice day.

This is one of our favorite places to visit in Melaka - highly recommended especially if you have kids . Pre-Covid we would make annual trips here and it has never disappointed. We went back this past week after a long hiatus and were pleasantly surprised at the improvements made, specifically opportunities for kids to interact with the animals via feeding packs sold along with the admission tickets. There were fewer species of butterflies this time around, likely as a result of the pandemic lockdown, but the animals otherwise looked healthy and well cared for. I am always impressed at how clean the enclosures are- never a smell, even after a night of heavy rainfall.

We visited this venue which was only 10 minutes from our hotel the Ames Hotel in Ayer Keroh, melaka. The entry fee was reasonable. Walking around one could interact with butterflies of various sizes and colours. We also viewed reptiles, Australian birds, rabbits and large insects. The staff were helpful and courteous. Maintenance was ongoing whilst we were there.

This place is worthwhile visiting! There were many types of reptiles, butterflies, birds such as emu and parrots. They have the 2nd and 3rd largest tortoise species there as well. Be prepared to walk to see them. Be mindful not to scare them not make any loud noises as these can really be upsetting for them. I wish the caretakers there would advise the visitors to “behave” accordingly.
I will certainly come back here for future visits.

The park seems to have gone through an upgrading since the last time we visited. Took us about an hour and a half to explore the park. Worth the visit if your family love looking at insects, reptiles and birds up close. But of course, some of us may feel quite sad to see these animals and insects trapped in an enclosure.
One of the first animals that you'd see is the majestic-looking albino peacock kept in a cage. Next you'd see some rare beetles and lizards before heading towards the butterfly enclosure. Imagine yourself walking through a park filled with fluttering butterflies. But do be careful as you walk and try to avoid stepping on the butterflies. If you are lucky, some may decide to perch on your fingers.
Other than the butterflies and the other creatures mentioned, you'd get to see emus, alligators, crocodiles and snakes too.
We liked the place cos we were not bothered by pushy promoters selling souvenirs or things that you don't need. Definitely worth a visit.

I was extremely shocked to see large wild animals such as tapirs and leopards housed in this 'butterfly park'.The two leopards were enclosed in a small cage that provided no place for these animals to hide and the tapir was enclosed in an empty room with a glass window. This type of environment is not healthy for such large animals that belong in the wild. Furthermore the tapir that was housed at this park had an open and infected wound and was attempting to scratch this by rubbing against the wall of the enclosure. I have provided a link to this park and there is an image of the tapir enclosed in its dull and depressing enclosure.

My trip to Malaysia was certainly RUINED by this experience and I was left saddened that such beautiful animals could be housed in such awful conditions. This is definitely a case of animal cruelty that needs serious addressing. I would advise persons to avoid this place until they remove these larger animals from this 'butterfly park'

Let me put this at the start: this is my first time tk a butterfly park. I loved the two hours I spent at this attraction. It was so cool to be surrounded by butterflies. Yes, there werr only a couple of specied but when am I going to have tens of butterflies brushing against me or sitting on leaves ready to be photographed. The other animals at the park were also interesting. Definitely one of the better attractions I Melaka.

A quick decision to enter this sanctuary yields a bunch of surprises!!
Entrance fee :
RM18/adult, RM12/3-12 year old
~ Cash payment only
We were expecting plenty of butterflies, but all the reptiles on display, OMG, one after another... and other animals as well, fish, birds...
1) Butterflies are kept within an enclosed area, so PLEASE WATCH OUT for them resting on the steps or ground, and there is a fine of RM200 if you catch them.
~ You will be able to see them up close feeding on fruits, very interesting.
~ Some daring one might even rest on your hand, or pose for photos.
2) Small to medium size reptiles are well kept in glass tanks with controlled temperature.
~ There are many varieties (lizards, iguana, dragon, snakes) and each of them is labeled properly with the basic information like its name, country of origin & diet. Great for learning.
☆ Thumbs up on the type of glass they use for the tank, very minimal or close to no reflection when I was clicking photos through the glass. Of course, great job to whom keeping the glass clean.
3) Crocodiles/ alligators
~ There are many of them and if you are lucky like my husband and daughter, they got splashed by one crocodile when it snapped.
~ One particular blackish crocodile/alligator caught my attention, simply amazed by all these beautiful creatures kept here.
4) Rabbits are there too...
~ Though they were in the cage, and mostly black and white.
~ Would be nice if they let them loose within a certain area and let us pet or feed them.
5) Emus are around too...
~ Can't believe seeing some emus roaming around curiously within the enclosed area.. started to wonder is it a zoo we are in?
6) Koi garden
~ Amazing amazing amazing... the way they constructed the streams and ponds for these beautiful koi to swim around, just perfect.
~ Buy fish food at the souvenir shop, it comes in handy when you want to get a good photo surrounded by fish.
7) Birds... how wonderful!!
~ Cockatoos, love birds, peacock, peahen.
~ We were lucky to see the albino peacock trying his luck with a peahen, to no avail.
8) Snacks and drinks kiosk
~ We had Ramli burger, it was really a so-so snack option, we would pack our own food next time.
~ It was nice to have a few swings set up near the kiosk, even though we didn't get a chance to swing on them.
In conclusion :
~ A must visit place in Ayer Keroh, and yes, we would visit it again.

They have staff around the zoo to give you explanation about butterfly and other animals. Environment nice. Not so hot to walk around here since they got roof around the farm. Crocodile in their farm is superb! Larger than crocodile in Melaka Zoo and Crocodile farm.
