This was a pit stop on our way to Görlitz, but could have been a destination in itself. Beautiful castle, beautiful gardens and grounds. Very nice way to spend an afternoon

What a wonderful and beautiful, budget friendly park. The "estate" is massive, with small areas of woods, lazy brooks, and winding foot paths set among wide expanses of trimmed grass fields. There were visitors on bikes, others with dogs, and the paths were more than wide enough to accomodate everyone comfortably. The place is so big, almost all of your time can be spent privately, with your own group, chatting with friends, without the risk of bothering anybody else.

The property fits closely with how I imagine old the English estates, as presented in shows like Downton Abbey. The manor is a massive, ornate structure surrounded by lakes with swans slowly floating along. The place is truly picturesque. There is an option to enter the manor, and masks are required. Visitors will also find some gift shops and even a place to buy a coffee or soft-serve ice cream.

Parking was reasonable, but there were very few spots available. People traveling during peak seasons will probably need to park elsewhere and then walk onto the estate.

I was planning to go there, make a few photos and drive out, but the park is really something worth spending a couple of hours in, it has a good vibe that makes you want to have a nap under the sun or drink a beer in the terrace

Fantastic park on the border beween Germany and Poland. The German part - about one third of the area - is more formal, the Polish part, to be reached - with no border formalities - via a couple of bridges - is hillier and less formal. Bikes are available on both sides, for the less mobile there are horse drawn carriages, which can be booked in advance. Cafe on the German side has snacks, soup, coffee and cake and icecream on the menu and friendly and helpful staff.

This large park and UNESCO world heritage site sits on the border between Germany and Poland with the park and the nations split by a river running through it. The park land is beautiful and expansive giving you plenty of space and time to walk, ride or picnic at your leisure. There are numerous historic buildings to take in and there is also an on site cafe which serves excellent quality ice creams. A great place for a day out especially in the good weather.

We came on a hot day in July, and rented bikes (5 euros for the day), there are also lockers provided at the rental. Getting a 2-euro map is highly recommended, as the gardes are free, this also helps with the upkeep. The park is fantastic and a true gem. The Polish part is more tranquil, and a bit higher, with fantastic views and many attractions. We also went to the other side of the park, crossing the main street, there, a faboulous vie of the castle can be had. The coffee and icecream parlor next to the bike rental was busy but quick and we had good coffee and cake. Interesting ice-cream flvours such as peanut and mango available. WORTHWHILE visiting. Parking in the shade right before the bridge to Poland is available for a fee (4 Euro for 3 hours).

Nice park, very big though so we did not see all of it. We mostly went for the castle, it was beautiful and definately worth a visit if you like castles and old buildings.

Wow - if you are looking for something different and unique this is the place to go to! At the boarder to Poland you'll find this jewel of horticulture as beautiful as it was in the 1800rdes.
