Tried to chill and enjoy the weather here after work but the park closes at 6 pm. So what's the point? There's nothing special anyway so they should just keep it open 247 or until 10 pm. Disappointed.

This is a gigantic park! It'd take several hours to just walk the main paths. There are also numerous smaller paths that take you up close to the flowering trees and bushes. You can rent a bike, go paddle-boating, take a train around the park,...More

立川の昭和記念公園は1日楽しめます。 お弁当を持ってピクニックに行くのも良い。 サイクリングで広い園内を回るのも良い。 桜の頃も綺麗だけど、四月後半はチューリップがそこかしこに咲き乱れている。 Tachikawa Showa Kine koen is perfect get away from city. Only about 30mins away from Shinjuku. Very peaceful and lots of greens. Rent a cycle is huge advantage for this park.

The park is very big and has about 1,500 cherry blossom trees so this is a prime spot for hanami (Cherry blossom viewing). The trees are very nice and bunched up together. It also has an interesting area where canola plants grow so you can...More
