    Lovely time tasting wines
We had a lovely time trying wines with Valerie. She was very knowledgeable and was happy to explain in English or patiently help us with our halting French. The only downside is that it isn't clear to me how to book a cellar tour on the website, but they weren't busy so Valerie took us in for a short tour.

    Fantastic chenins in Vouvray
Had a really fun visit to the Winery, enthusiastically led by Charlotte, who is passionate and knowledgeable. Toured the cellar, got great information, and tasted their awesome wines and locally sourced cheese and produce. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the Loire Valley.

    Exceptional educational and enjoyable experience.
Amazing and educational winery tour and tasting. Vouvrey in the Loire Valley has 100s of wineries but Chateau Gaudrelle is exceptional especially with Charlotte as our guide. Chenin Blanc grapes made many ways from dry sparkling to Sauturne style dessert wine. A must visit but call.or email ahead to reserve private spot.

Why wife and I had a pleasant introduction to the wines of Chateau Gaudrelle yesterday. Valeria and Charlotte were engaging and informative as we tasted wines and learned about their production. The wines were tasty, and afterwards we bought a still and a sparkling wine at very fair prices. We enjoyed visiting the cool production area and storage caves. High marks to Valeria for her kindness in explaining the wines to us in English. The winery is very conveniently located for Tours area visitors. Thank you.

Despite arriving fairly late in the day, Diane welcomed us, showed us the cave and chatted with great openness and enthusiasm about the wines and the region. I would highly recommend a visit.

We were an English speaking party of four with considerable wine tasting experience around the world. Our host that day was Annie, who was very knowledgeable and articulate about the wines and the Chenin Blanc grape variety. Her knowledge, customer interaction and sense of humor made this one of our top tasting experiences. The caves are cut into the hillside in an ancient stone quarry. The wines were better than most Vouvray we tasted and I shipped a case to US

checked out previous reviewes and the Chateau has produced wines which have won awards.good knowledable staff Bit puzzled when lady serving was reluctant to open new bottle of demi-sec sparkling wine when we wanted a sip to taste as it could have been used for other customers who were there and may have wanted to taste it as well? wines slightly more expensive then nearby Chateau's but prehaps reflects the medals they have got?

Thank you for your message, your coming and your time. Actually, we produce 12 different wines so unfortunately it's not possible to taste them all. However,we hope you enjoy the fourth or fifth ones you tried as well as the full explanations and our philosophy. The Team

I was really looking forward to visiting this winery because of all the great reviews. We chose the wine and cheese tour. The tour was extremely rushed. Afterwards, at the tasting, we received tiny tasting and it was far from generous like the other reviews described. The tour was supposed to last an hour. Our reservation was at 4 and we were back at our hotel by 4:55 (and even had to wait 10 minutes for a cab and drive all the way back to the hotel!). The tour guide was nice, but it was completely NOT worth 45 euros (yikes!). Definitely the disappointment of the trip to Tours. I don’t know what went wrong given all the other good reviews!

We visited late October 2018 on a Tuesday morning, where we booked a guided tour in English for that same afternoon. We were met with a very friendly reception by both a man and a gorgeous dog. Both of which were extremely courteous. Our afternoon tour was lead by Chloe, who was an absolute pleasure. Her English was excellent and she took great care to explain the winemaking process in sufficient detail for our interest. We have attended many wine tours and vineyard visits in France and further abroad and this one was the perfect balance of relaxed informative style. She took great care to learn new words in English where we mentioned something different and she took her time to allow us to have a wonderful tasting, considering each of the well crafted wines and offering ample suggestions of food pairings and even a local cheese stockist for a nice goats cheese to accompany the wine chosen to take home. This was amongst the best wine tours in the region thanks to the friendly staff throughout. Be sure to try and book ahead to avoid disappointment, especiy if you would like a tasting matched with cheese etc.

Roujan's Le Petit Péché is tailor-made for couples in quest of intimate dining, especially in early summer. On the evening of the summer solstice (June 21), when the French celebrate the warm weather with music, dance, companionship and good food, some restaurants simply announce "Fermé" (Closed) as the proprietors want to join in the general festivity. Not so this charming restaurant, which offers patrons the option of dining indoors or al fresco. The latter was the obvious choice on a balmy evening, and sitting under the trees strung with lights, discreet music playing in the background, and attentive service from staff who show commitment to their profession was a great pleasure. A three-course menu elegantly plated and presented, at a reasonable price, completed the epicurean experience; fish of the freshest, imaginatively cooked, and an array of classic desserts, justify a return visit - soon.
