Marathon is a very nice village with some nice typical Mediterranean beaches. They were not crowded at all which was very welcoming ! There are some lovely taverns in the sea front with wonderful fresh seafood, very much worth every penny!

Clear waters, quiet during the week and within easy reach of local amenities. Some business allow the use of their sunbeds , if purchasing food and drink from them

Narrow sandy beach with pebbles on entry to sea, no sunbeds on this beach and a sea front restaurant. Some small shops on the beach square, did find the square very untidy but beach was fine.

Pepple stones and a little sand, mostly a narrow strip of a beach.. Some larger areas used as a playground for families. We did not enjoy this beach area.

It is definitely a place that represents the ancient Hellenic spirit of well being through fishing, swimming, navigating and exploring! Anytime of the year you will find peace here after a seaside walk. With your other half or with your children you will appreciate the breeze of a clear mind that blows all day long...

This beach is ideal. Great sand, pine trees that come down close to the shore that afford some shade, and a beach that tapers very slowly into the sea.

This beach is a bit rocky but water was still warm in October! Lots of resturants and things to do on the beach that can keep you busy for days.. Don't forget to bring your snorkel gear!

in Zoumperi,close to Nea Macri,there's is this excellent taverna,where in summer you can also eat on the sea,day or night.Traditional excellent fish specialities and lots of mezedes(typical various appetizers bites).

there is a long beach along the Marathon gulf, rather wild than prepared, with pubs and teraces along the alley nearby
