The Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre is located in the centre of town. Here you will find information about accommodation, attractions, events, road and weather conditions. The centre carries topographic maps, Hume and Hovell Walking Track map kits, and books. You will also find a fascinating historical museum, along with a comprehensive collection of information about Tumbarumba's history of goldmining, timber, and mountain cattlemen, as well as special exhibitions.

Stopped here a few times. The volunteer staff always helpful and knowledgeable. They have great displays of local history. Lots of information on things to do and scenic drives. Especially worth it if new to the area. Ample parking.

Such an interesting display of the plane crash with AV information as well. The pictures and stories of the history of the region are really well presented. There is a good selection of information in the touring part as well. Ladies in the information bureau...More

It has a good little museum.......worth a quick visit. Staff are helpful and you will be able to find out extra info of things to do in the area!

We stopped in to collect maps of the shire and were pleasantly surprised to find a mini museum in the centre. Displays on Timber milling, bushrangers and well known locals were well worth the look.
