I have just had a fantastic ski holiday in Galtur. We lucked out over the Easter weekend - buckets of new snow and cold temperatures to stop it melting. We only skied for 3 days - 2 in Ishgl and 1 day in Galtur. I loved skiing in Galtur. Much quieter than Ishgl with empty slopes and lifts. The runs... More

The Galtur area is relatively small and compact but a great way to get in your ski legs before going to the larger area of Ischgl. We were based in Galtur and enjoyed one day exploring Galtur. There are few blacks and these are not demanding; black run number 6 is my favourite and is more of a red; wide... More

Unbelievable how many people this gondola takes per hour, up the mountain. in 1 week, only had to wait once in line for 10 minutes.

Not being much of a skier, we decided to take a 3 day course (finally extended to 4 days because the group was so great) to get going. It's been worth and we had much fun. The kids have been on skies once they quit using diapers so to say and they were good coaches for us once the course... More

Small but nice by Austrian standards. You should try the nocturna! I do this any year in the last 5 years. Recomand. Good resort for kids.

The pistes were beautifully maintained, the views to the lake are stunning, and there are nice little parks and slaloms to play on. But, once on the mountain, there are few cairs, mostly T-bars or buttons, and the pistes are only really enough to occupy an intermediate skiier for a day or two. Restaurants get very crowded at lunch time,... More

We've skied at Galtur for two years running now. The resort is a bit on the small side for a full week; but with Ischgl a ski-bus ride away, there's no reason to get bored. We got a fresh dump of snow and there was plenty of off-piste for all who wanted it for the next two days. Not quickly... More
