The Howick Falls remains one of the impressive landmarks in the KZN Midlands. This time of year the river feeding the falls are not running all that strong, but definitely worth a visit. The area around the Falls view site seems to be quite run...More

The falls are set on a lovely bed of rock just outside the town. The Falls are easy to find, great views and its free to see and view. There are vendors around, selling all sorts of things. On thing cool about the town --...More

My son and I visited the falls via the Umgeni Valley Nature Preserve. We went for a drive and then a beautiful hike in the reserve. Highly recommended for the Horwick Falls as well as the nature preserve.

The falls is not spectacular like Victoria or Niagara. It is a long drop and quite a pretty site. Lovely arts and crafts in the area.

Exciting to see an improvement at the falls. Signage much better, cleaner and friendly shop owners. Wonderful to see the water cascading over the falls. Thanks to the Love Howick Team, who are working together to improve this experience! !

No longer a beautiful nature spot. Locals use waterfall for washing dirty laundry at top of the falls. Can no longer get beautiful nature pics. Overrun by hawkers and car guards, actually scaring tourists off!

My friends and I enjoyed a relaxing afternoon here. There are some great picnic spots with amazing views. There weren't too many people around. The road is a bit rough but can be mangled carefully with a sedan.

Certainly worth a stop to see these Falls and learn some of the history, and stories. Traders have wares worth looking at and then go see the view at Yard 41 and have a meal / coffee at Farmers Daughter.
