The old part of Locorotondo is classic Italian. A whitewashed labyrinth of small alleys, wonderful flower boxes and small and tempting eateries. The Centro is small and far less tourist oriented than neighbouring Alberobello but if you are in the area then the extra distance...More

Drove here with family for a visit as we were staying in nearby Alberobello. Typical of us we turn up at lunchtime in the midday sun so it’s scorching. Parked nearby then walked up the centre. A steep climb but worth it. Lots of streets...More

This is a lovely little place with a stone gateway into the old town and the true feel of Puglia. Unspoilt by tourism the locals sit in the shade in the communal gardens after lunch overlooking the vineyards and olive trees. There are some interesting...More

This is a love letter to Locorotondo as the best spot in the beautiful Val d'Itria in the heart of "Trulli Land." It's less touristy (a lot less touristy) than Alberobello. prettier than Cisternino, and smaller, more intimate and less crowded and bustling than Martina...More

The most unspoilt and lovely old town in the Valle d'itria. Utterly charming and should not be missed. Wander the pretty street, stop in one of the amazing restaurant, admire the view from the belvedere and make sure you try the gelato. Wonderful.

Locorotondo was one of our favorite stops on our drive through Puglia and Calabria on our way to Sicily and Sardegna. The historic center is a maze of narrow streets and alleys lined with wellkept whitewashed houses, balconies covered in blooms and greenery and friendly...More
