Not sure as never having attended the opening. My inclination would be to avoid the crowds (and queues) and go a week later.

It is cold at the top the glacier is millions of years old. It was free for the first cable car with an active card, the next 2 cable cars cost €42 for two adults, kids were free. The bus from Myrhofen train station runs... More
