We had a very pleasant stay at Nambiti House at Cheetah Ridge where we received a friendly welcome from Clinton who always greeted us with a broad smile.. The game drives were the highlight of our stay with amazing sightings thanks to Brent our excellent game guide. We would highly recommend Nambiti for a wonderful game viewing experience.

We want to Nambiti House which is part of Cheetah Ridge Lodge. Great experience with numerous animals seem during game drives with an excellent guide. The staff at the house were excellent. Will definitely return.

Not a great reserve. There are many reserves in SA that are much better. Has a very man made feeling about it

The lodge at Nambiti is lovely and the staff delightful.
But this is not a Big Five reserve! There are no Leopards and they say they have never introduced any. We saw buffalo, rhinos, Lions, cheetah, elephants, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, hippos and various antelope types.
But there are relatively low numbers of animals and over 3 days we kept seeing the same ones.
There are 4 male lions and there were 3 young females ( which were in a compound awaiting transport elsewhere), but we saw no mature females at all and no cubs.

It was just not a great safari experience. It’s a reserve which was created in the late 90’s with all the animals brought in. So, it’s a created experience rather than a really authentic one.

My advice would be to go elsewhere.

It was also disappointing to see a real lack of emphasis on sustainability and green issues. There is no solar power at all. The lodges and the pool are heated electrically. The hot water is from gas. The laundry is all washed and dried using electricity and there is a huge generator for power backup. None of the products provided in the lodges are biodegradable.

This place is fabulous! We stayed at the Ndaka Safari Lodge and everything about it was top quality.
We stayed in a luxury tented suite looking out into the reserve - sitting room, bedroom, bathroom and dressing area, all beautifully well equipped with everything you might need. The dining room/lounge and bar area and outside pool area were spacious and the ambience was perfect. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and immediately remembered our names and ensured we were well looked after.
The sunset and sunrise Game drives with our Ranger - Langule - were amazing. He was so knowledgeable and competent. We drove all over the reserve and saw so many different animals really close up - we had never imagined seeing so many! The stops for drinks and snacks were perfectly prepared and the breakfast outside on the reserve was another fantastic surprise. All the food and drinks were superb.
Totally recommend!

Nambiti was really lush and beautiful with diverse landscapes and game to view. The guides all work well together to give you the best bush experience - whether it's Big 5 you are after, or birding.

There is bush and there is open planes and the amount of game see is amazing. There are a choice of lodges to stay at with knowledgeable guides to drive you round. Any time of the year would be good. Drives a bit of a strain on the back at my age but I got over that and am still planning to go back.

Such a varied terrain and a great variety of animals. Driving around you might be on the savannah for an hour and then work your way into the mountains and along beautiful waterfalls. Very lovely and the guides all work together via radio to keep informed where the best of the game might be. So fun to watch our guide get excited at the news of lions being spotted and his pride in being able to get us to the location in time to see them. Highly recommend this reserve.

Great reserve with a mixture of lodges to suit most budgets. Rich in history, flora, fauna and a great amount of roads for loads to traverse. Leopard are still a bit shy but it's getting better so the reserve can only go from strength to strength.

A wonderful reserve with the Big 5, beautiful birdlife, stunning scenery, especially around the Sundays River and falls. Picturesque sunrises and sunsets - so good for the soul!
