Having seen the tops of the castello towers peeping through the trees on several occasions when driving up and down the motorway, we decided to make time to discover the place. This was October with few visitors around and after lunch, we wandered around the almost deserted hamlet. It has a double row of medieval walls which can be walked,... More

This castle makes you jump in the past and live the life of one of the famous Italian families during the Renaissance. You start the visit with n exposition of weapons (mainly swords) and then you can explore the rooms of the castle. Very recommended.

The neon display over the entrance seemed a little incongruous, but the rest of this castle was more traditional. A great historic building to explore with fantastic views and excellent bars and cafés.

Beautiful castle building with wonderful views and many lovely tavernas and restaurants tucked within the castle walls. It is worth researching its history before visiting as we were wishing we knew more. There is a book to be written here Im sure. A guided tour is available too. A few gift shops and pleasant walks . There is a place... More

We have been during the magic castle festival and we did really enjoy the night atmosphere. I really appreciate the ticket policy (kids below 12 years old were free) but I'm not sure if the attractions were really for kids: some were too scary for the younger (4 and 2 years old) and some other for clearly for adult only... Visited during the magic castle festival and it was so beautifully decorated along the cobbled streets. We ate lunch at one of several restaurants in the castle and really enjoyed it. The little church soon after you enter the castle walls is worth a visit.

We visited the castle in the evning, the first evening of the "magic castle" feast and it was magical and idyllic. These feasts are directed toward children and families and are less interesting for adults (which is not so clear from there publicity), but create nevertheless a nice and magical atmosphere in this already stunning place. It is well restaured... More

Was there with the kids of my friend and some things are only described in Italian so if you don't speak Italian you won't get any informations about it.

This fortress dates from the Middle Ages, when the Malatesta family ruled over Rimini and the coast. It is beautifully maintained and displays the original ceilings, frescoed walls, fireplaces and some of the furniture. However, most of the décor has been added in more recent times, though this was done in the spirit of the original settlers. Being the setting... More

Everything in this castle is authentic, rough furniture, enormous fireplaces, the atmosphere is magnificently rendered.
