Sta LIbrada, the patron of los santos, uses this church as her home. Built by the spaniards in the 17th century, this church was built here as legend tells that sta librada returned to this part of town when her statue arrived from old spain. The church used to have two towers, one collapsing in an 18th century quake. If... More

Such a quaint church. Beautifully lit at night, old world architecture and of course right on the edge of the town square.

Beautiful golden altar. Great example of the artistry of the Criollan architecture in the interior of Panama. Santa Librada, the patroness saint of the town is considered very miracoulous and as many of our churches is dressed in real clothes.

Iglesia Santa Librada is a Spanish Colonial style church, originally built by Spanish colonists in 1789. It was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1802. It is located on the town square of... More

It is quiet, mellow church with an average exterior however inside is more memorable. Too bad the original church burnt down in the 1950s but this present day one,won t let you down.
