Perfect place for abstract photography and digging into the heart of a steelfactory. Very authentic, rusty and lovely. Nothing artificial or decorated but true history. Love it !

Once outside you go back in time. Passing an old tram (nostalgia). You see huge equipment all over the place. Very impressive and realizing making steel is a totally different process than working in information technology. I was impressed. You walk thru the process step...More

Great park with great views from the top of the steel ovens. There were demonstrations of molding steel into shapes. Also tours into a mine, but when I wanted to join the group was too large already (it was museum weekend, so probably more crowded...More

A fantastic place for all those "how does it work" freaks. A perfect explanation for young and old on how blast furnace works - from the train station where iron ore gets delivered to the ready product. Additionally fantastic kids playground.

A former steel-plant, now a museum. You can walk through the factory, up the hochofen. Great if you like steel-making history and everything they needed to do this. Good restaurant too and the machinenhalle is likely to open up next year.
