This is a perfect place for nature lovers with trails, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. Several of the trails have views over the river and the valley. We walked up the Eperon trail, which has great views over the valley. We took the left fork, which is the steepest, but has the nicest views and loops around the backside with a view over a smaller river. Great hike!

As we entered the park, there was a massive lineup to get into it. After all, it was a long weekend. We arrived at around 9 am, and the parking lot for L'Eperon trail is already at capacity. Understandably, the iconic views from that trail are drop dead gorgeous. In that trail, the viewpoints are on the left side of the fork. While steep, it is worth it at the top. Sepaq's brochure advertised it to be 2.25 hours long but we took at least 3 because we couldn't stop taking pictures.

The visitor centre has full services as well as a gorgeous beach and a bridge containing a beautiful viewpoint as well. We wanted to explore more but we had to go back to Ontario at that time so it's cut short. Maybe next time!

Beautiful park, fair price to enter. We did the L’eperon Trail, it took us a few hours, I would advise going up the left side first, it’s harder to go up but it would be very hard to go down. I would say this trail was a medium. Beautiful views, great hike.

Loved this park! Plenty of trails to choose from and there is one for every ability level. We rented kayaks for a few hours and really enjoyed that experience. Rental process was quick and easy. Just the drive through the park alone is nice. Very relaxing place, never felt crowded.

Spent two great nights in a pret a camper site. All you need in a 12’x 20’ tent with two double sleeping compartments with thin plastic covered foam mattress. Bring sleeping bag and pillows and the rest is supplied. Fridge, 2 burner propane, lights, a heater and all the dishes and cutlery and pots for 8. Inside table and 4 chairs. Outside the 2 burner, 4 plastic chairs a fire pit with grill plus picnic table.
Our group had #52, 57, and 64. Site 64 is at the end of the road set in a beautiful yellow birch forest. Sites 60-63 are for tents or RVs and we’re all empty. There is potable water 59’ away and a dry toilet. 52 is 100’ from the heated lit toilets and showers and there is a double sink dish wash area behind the building. By the way we are 8 people ( 4 grand parents 2 parents And 2 teens) we eat together then load all dishes pots etc into a collapsible wagon and head for the wash up area.
We went in a 12 person canoe an d paddled up river and back for 3 km with guide Marie talking of history geology flora and fauna ( Rabaska)
Dozens of trails well marked and well maintained. Les cascades with 4 km of substantial ups and downs was plenty for me. It leaves from the visitor centre parking.
Canoes rafrs and kayaks available to rent
Photo 1 is the river 200’ from site 57 and second is of the tent at 64

We went for a drive today and ended up in Jacques-Cartier National Park. Despite the name, this is a Quebec park, not a Federal one.
The gate was unstaffed and we were able to drive in without paying (an advantage to Nov. 3rd, I suppose). However the information centre and store were open, as were the washrooms.
We had a beautiful drive through the park and a couple of very short hikes, mostly for photography. It was a beautiful, sunny day with the temperature varying from 2 to 5 degrees Celcius. I would have loved to go for a longer hike but my wife wasn't up to it today, so we opted not to do so.
The downside of November is that the deciduous trees had lost their leaves. I'm sure that the colour would have been wonderful 3 weeks ago.

I chose Les Loups trail for it's difficulty and view points and I wasn't disappointed. Driving from the entrance to the starting point of the trail may be long, but the view is beautiful with the tall mountains and the winding river. There is ample parking however, looking for the entrance at the starting point was a little tricky. The path is well paved and not too rocky. There are a lot of steep sections but they aren't too long. The first view point takes about 45 minutes to get to and is beautiful. I kept going for the 2nd viewpoint and this trail was longer than expected. There are a few tricky parts but slow and steady got me to the top for a breathtaking view. The whole trail took me about 4hrs including rest. It really tested my endurance. Definitely will return to try out the other trails. Note that there are sections with limited cell phone signal if you want to send updates of your hike, important when hiking solo.

Gorgeous national park. The landscape is breathtaking! A definite must see if you are a nature buff or simply hoping to take a nice hike. Park map clearly identifies family friendly, intermediate and advanced trails. Good place for camping, canoeing, kayaking.

What a beautiful site this National Park! Unfortunately it is a little under-staffed and one of the main trail was closed. The reason: a tree fell on the trail... To me its a bit stupid as you only have to walk over it or around it. Anyway the park itself has a lot of beautiful mountains on the river and is worth the trip. Warning: You must buy your ticket online in advance (which we did) but make sure that you have the bar code to open the gates as there are no attendant. The invoice you get with the email confirming your purchase does not have that code so make sure you have it in advance as there is no or limited cellular reception and you may not be able to get it off your phone.

My partner and i stayed in one of the campings for 2 nights. Loved the national park, hiking and the peace in there. Camping sites are big and separate enough between each other for a little privacy. We will come back for sure.
