PECORAMA - one of East Devon's leading visitor attractions, is set on a hillside above the pictureque fishing village of Beer. It is home to the mile-long Beer Heights Light Railway with its fleet of miniature steam locomotives; the famous PECO Model Railway Exhibition featuring superbly detailed layouts in every major gauge and the PECO Millennium Celebration Garden, five stunning Garden "rooms" based on a celestial theme.

Children's activity areas feature the wonderful new indoor 'Play Staion' plus an extensive range of outdoor play equipment, whilst grown-ups can try their skill and stamina on the Crazy Golf course and Fitness Trail. There is a varied programme of entertainment throughout the summer season, including children's shows featuring jesters, clowns and magicians performing under cover of our own big top, the PECO Marquee.

The displayed opening times are for the summer season only (Easter to October). During our low season, the Beer Heights Light Railway and Gardens close but the Model Railway Exhibition & Shop, Garden Room Restaurant and Play Station Soft Play area remain open. Please see our website for these facilities’ winter opening hours.

OK for families. Quite expensive for what it is which is a low rent attraction but enough to keeps kids amused.

We went in some trepidation with our Devon family because model railways really aren't our thing, but we were delighted to be proved completely wrong. Ride on trains, look at trains, picnic areas, decent playground, Great gardens with a complicated narrow gauge railway, a really good value, lovely day out in good weather, though they have an indoor soft play... Great place to visit with family or friends. Model railways kits/ supplies shop free to go in, staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Tour the displays of model layouts for £2.50 per adult, there's a lot of hard work gone into it, good inspiration if you're looking to build your own. Take vintage style tea in the converted railway carriage, or... More

If you have kids or are a kid at heart you will love this place. Awesome Gardens complete with a complex narrow gauge railway. Inside the main building there is loads, and I mean loads, of layouts. They have all sizes of layouts and all gauges of model railways. The main shop is awesome with EVERYTHING available.. This really is... More

Worth visiting if you have children. We visited during half term with our two young sons who both love trains. They both loved the exhibition and watching all the different train track layouts. We then ventured into the main area, the gardens were quite small but interesting. There was a Halloween activity sheet for the children which made the gardens... More

We have been to Pecorama many times as a family as the kids have grown up and always enjoyed it. This is the first time we have been to the Halloween evening special and it was first rate. The staff really got into the spirit of the evening and we especially liked Witchy Woo . All the staff deserve credit... More

Display of model railways at the home of Peco. Families are also well catered for with play areas, crazy golf and miniature railway. Restaurant was busy and small cafe had limited catering.

We went here for a day in half term to celebrate my son's birthday. We bought premium tickets which have the bonus of an extra train ride and a round of crazy golf when compared to the standard bargain ticket. On the day there was a fun treasure trail for the kids and free face painting which were nice extras... More

Visited yesterday and the whole family had a fab time - far exceeded my expectations. The train ride around the park was great and we loved the way they had decorated the trees with Halloween items. If you're in Beer then definitely seek this place out.

It was a dull day when we visited this, and it was heaving with people.Nice small steam trains, which take you on a ride around for about 10 or 15 minutes..It is a small site but they have it layed out well with many small gardens and walk ways to explore. It is very much a train buffs heaven I think, but I still...
