We took the track to the car park near the entrance to the gorge. We were not equipped properly for a lengthy walk which was a shame. We got into the part where the gorge narrowed. This meant some scrambling over rocks . We decided that a turned ankle or worse was not a good idea when on holiday so turned back. This was still a pleasant walk in the countryside which, had we the right footwear ( sturdy boots) , we would have completed.

If you want to visit the entire canyon you should leave at 10-11 so that you do not return when is dark because it could be dangerous. A person was found after 10 days after beeing lost. A must go!

A beautiful and long trek on the riverbed (dry in summer) that runs through these gorges. In the most beautiful point the very close rock walls reach a height of about 200 meters. The time it took to get to the lovers' fountain was approximately 2h30' on the way out and 1h45' on the way back, including stops for photos.
In some sections the route becomes challenging because you have to overcome some differences in height on rocks and stones that are not very easy.

A wonderful hike. We left (with a child of 8 years) from the parking area Le Foci and arrived at the Source of lovers in about 2 hours with stops for photos, are about 8km.Paesaggio nothing short of wonderful, which reminded us of some of the parks seen in America. Challenging hike in some places but not impossible. Helmet Required (also for bikes) and Reservation (not for a fee) on the Sirente velino park site. Sticks are not necessary, they are a hindrance because in some places you have to lean with your hands to climb / descend the stones.
Must do if you are in the area!

Beautiful experience .. in a place where nature is the master (luckily .. path characterized by woods and rock walls and for this you require the use of the protective helmet .. simple enough path for those who are used to walk .. we arrived at the source of lovers where there is a small waterfall but seen the period did not make the best . however wonderful day!

Very adventurous excursion. First quite quiet stretch in the woods, then we start the actual gorges that gradually become narrower and narrower until a width of 3 meters and height of 200. You absolutely need hiking shoes because most of the route is done directly up the river bed, with very large stones and some that move. In a couple of places then when the gorges are narrower you practically have to climb the rocks. Mandatory helmet in some places. Medium path difficult, but feasible, my 10-year-old daughter did it quietly, you still have to pay attention. It took us about two hours to get to the source of the lovers, there you can stop for a sandwich break, and to cool off under the 'cold water that comes down from' above, like natural shower. Another two hours if not more, given the tiredness of the way back to the parking lot. Excursion however absolutely recommended, but you must be trained and have an adventurous spirit
