If it was possible I would give them no star. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service and lack of common sense. Something that could have been simple took over one hour and calling the police for them to be told by the police how to use their common sense and handle the situation. Very disappointing.

Long story short. The front desk ladies would not help my friend retrieve her gold necklace that slipped between cracks of the lockers. We argued for 1 1/2 hrs and had to call the police to get the simple situation resolved. They still hesitated even after other co workers ask them to help us. Finally they opened it and gave us the necklace. I have never seen such rude service in my life! Also the bathrooms smelled like urine and were not clean. I suggest you visit the other thermal spas in the area.

Decided to spend a day at the thermals with our friends and hosts who are Italian. We’ve heard a lot about the poor customer service in Italy, especially worse since COVID. We’ve been coming to Italy at least once a year for the last 10+ years and had never experienced poor customer service… until today, here at Terme di San Giovanni Rapolano. What started as a simple situation that could have easily been resolved in 10 minutes or less by a manager or even an employee with common sense, escalated into an hour plus long shouting match between my friend, the customer, and the girls working the desk. After our visit was completed our friend was gathering her belongings from one of the lockers she used during our visit. A nice gold necklace belonging to her fell through the crack of her locker and into the lower locker, which was unfortunately being used by another patron and locked. These lockers are designed with manual override keys in the event someone forgets their code, or in unique situations like this, which I am certain happen often. The police were finally called to resolve the situation, who told the two girls to used their common sense and open the locker while recording our friend collecting her necklace. Even then they were combative, but finally opened the locker and allowed my friend to collect her necklace. The finale took approximately 5 minutes, which is an absolute shame. Such great possibility in this place but due to poor customer service and poor management, I cannot recommend this place to anyone, American, Italian, or otherwise. Zero stars needs to be an option for reviews like this. Shame on you Terme San Giovanni Rapolano.

They charge €310 a night, €620 for the two nights we stayed, €75 per each massage, €15 for a damn decanter for using one evening, and not one night did the air conditioning work. Even after numerous complaints, while they admitted the air conditioning wasn’t working well, they refuse to change rooms, or accommodate in any fashion. Absolutely unacceptable and not worth a dime. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place for anyone other than coming for an afternoon to use the pools. Come use the pools, but do not stay at the hotel!

Visited during my winter vacation in Italy. Despite the hardships imposed on Italian HORECA this thermal SPA managed to keep its quality up to the reputation it has on this website. Multiple pools at different temperatures, decked and open-air and an overall sense of modest Italian luxury. Enjoyed a cocktail with termal water at the end of our day. Wholly reccomend!

I have finally managed to spend a day with my friends to celebrate one of my friend's birthday. The atmosphere was magic. We spent the whole day in and sincerely we always felt in a safe environment for the whole Covid situation. The staff always helpful and complies with the sanitary regulations. Finally a place where everyone is recommended to respect and follow the guidelines for the situation we are experiencing.

Highly suggested! We will definitely spend a weekend in the hotel as we truly believe the structure has all the capabilities to manage in the best way the actual situation.

This spa was such a memorable experience; the thermal waters are perfect temperature, both the inside and outside areas are amazing & the staff is very friendly. The family that owns the place is absolutely lovely and clearly puts a lot of effort into making sure you will enjoy your time here. 100% worth it!

After touring Tuscany and climbing all the hilltop towns for a couple of days, our tour had decided to spend an afternoon in these hot baths. What a brilliant idea! There are several very large pools some of them with streaming jets coming from the sides hitting a perfect spot on the tired back. These are mineral waters, so there is definitely a sulfur smell, stronger upon entrance but then dissipating into a minimum. The temperatures vary, but the best hot ones are closest to the building. Don’t forget to remove your silver jewelry, it will turn black. Also for the ladies tie your long hair up, swimming caps are not required. Bring your own towels or wraps and flip-flops. There are lockers in the changing rooms, for 2 euros, there are also community showers and hairdryers. We were not able to choose our own lounge chair spots, when you book this spa, you also choose your spot online to prevent any overcrowding.
