Rupit is a fabulous medieval village about an hour from Barcelona beautifully kept. Enjoy just walking around this extraordinary stone village because must be left in the car park and enter the village over a swaying but safe bridge. There are restaurants, hotels and gift shops but mostly we just enjoyed the lovely properties and fabulous views. If you visit Rupit also make time to go to another Catalan village called Tavertet with it’s fantastic panorama and often eagles cruising in the thermes of the mountains.

This small medieval village is a treat to the tourists. Many restaurants and shops. You can reach the old town using a hanging bridge. Beautiful views, cool weather.

This place is a real treat! Pretty hard to get to, but well worth the visit. The town has kept its original character, but still feels alive. A lot of old towns seem like a run down historical relic, but not Rupit.

There is lots to explore and some nice bars/places to eat.

If you ever want to feel like you are living in a city witch is 600 years old... go to rupit.! It is gem.!! Waterfalls going through the city. The architecture and the small passages through the little town are aimplu charming. It is suprisingly quite during the week when toir busses leave. And you can just wander in the alleys like if you were in game of thrones... my hotel room was in a wonderful setting just near a suspended bridge that joins both sides of the waterfalls.... supppppperb place to visit.!!

Relaxing to have a tasty lunch in this town that perched on the escarpment of the ravine, with cascading water full of nature melody.

Make the effort to wander around this lovely town. There is something to see around every corner and the history is everywhere. There is a lot of up and down and cobblestone streets so make sure that you wear good footwear. I had a couple of hours in this town as part of a day trip but will be returning to spend more time relaxing in this gorgeous location.

Small medieval village tucked up amongst mountains and small rivers, Rupit is charming and picturesque with seemingly more tourists than residents. But wander around up to the higher ground where tourists thin out and it’s amazingly peaceful and you take your time to take some nice pictures. The village is not big and can be covered by foot within an hour although walks further out are possible but sadly we didn’t have the time.

There are a few restaurants and cafes scattered about close to the parking area and the walking bridge which is a must walk. Most enjoyable location to spend some relaxing time.
