We are constantly exploring Indian Himalayas to find new trekking routes, activities and home stays to be able to create customised itineraries for our clients. We always put safety on the first place so you can enjoy travelling with us making sure you are well looked after.

We had such a great experience with Mapping the Himalayas. We hiked to Kuari pass - 7 day, six nights. With the driving back and from, it’s a 5 day hike.
We didn’t want to do a hike with a big company and walk with 20 other people - while we would have been happy to go with a few other people, we ended up being the only ones on the hike which was great fun!
Sonu and Ankush were great to have as our guide and cook/wonderful helper. On the second night we realised the mules that were carrying our equipment couldn’t continue due to ice, and so the owner (Kaly) organised porters (who made it to us by the next morning) so we could make it to kuari pass. Amazing.
We were so well looked after - fires and delicious food every night. No pressure to walk a certain pace either.
We had booked a bus from haridwar the night we got back from the hike and they dropped us all the way there instead of just back in rishikesh which was so helpful. It was obvious they were willing to go out of their way to help us out.
The only thing we would suggest is if you are going in December like we did, make sure you take lots of warm clothes/layers. The sleeping bags and sleeping mats they provided werent quite as warm as we were expecting so we found we were a bit cold some nights. If you have your own good quality sleeping mats/sleeping bags we’d recommend taking them along.
Overall, great experience and would hike with these guys again in a heartbeat !!

We go for four days treck to Badrinatha in the
Himalayas. It was wonderfully organised by Maping the Himalayas and Kaly the manager. We had a confortable clean room with hot water bathroom and good meals. The taxi driver and the guide were so friendly and qualified that we will remember them for ever. They were attentive at all details and all our needs, we feel completly secure with them. On the second day we visit Mana village and the source of sacred Sarasvati which was quite amazing. On the third day we did a beautiful trek to Vasudhara falls together with a picnic prepared by Ankush our guide. This is the third time that we do trecking with Kaly and his equip, we must say that it is always amazing and perfect. We are happy, satisfied and eager to come back for another amazing experience.

Just finished up my best trekking experience with Mapping the Himalayas. An amazing itinerary was provided to me by Kally Bhai. The experience started with camping at Deoriatal lake. We climbed the summit of Chandrashila peak the next day and experienced snowfall. On the last day, we trekked to Karthikeya Swamy temple. Glad to find a friend and guide in Ankus bhai, who supported me throughout the way with his knowledge, expertise and fun trek routes (and harder 😄). 10/10 would recommend them for treks focussed on peace, respect towards nature and beauty. Hope u like my pictures.

I really wanted to see the Himalayas while on this trip, and I was concerned cos I was by myself. However “Mapping the Himalayas” made everything easy and safe for me. I did the Chopta 4 days-3 nights hike. My guide Ankush took really great care of me from the start, the views were breathtaking, and the experience full on with local mountain people - nothing touristy or mainstream. Of course there were some challenges, lots of rain (for me monsoon season was the only possible date) and I had to get out of my comfort zone a little, but it was totally worth it! Would 100% recommend!

This trek for me was ideal, and exactly what I needed and wanted. Trekking both below and above the clouds.. magical! Our guide was knowledgeable and experienced, but most of all funny and always had us laughing! Sleeping and food arrangements were prepared and managed well. I proved my endurance, reaching goals as well… I simply wanna do it again!!

I went trekking to Chopta-Chandrashila in the Himalayas for four days. The trip was well organised by Mapping the Himalaya. It was my first solo trip but I felt completely safe. On the first day of our trip we visited Sari village and experienced a beautiful sunset with delicious snacks. On the second day we visited Deoria Tal and Kedarnath World Wide Century. On the third day we had a picnic as well as a scenic trek to Chopta-Tungnath-Chandrashila with our guides Kalyan Baba and Narayan. This was my second such lovely trip with Mapping the Himalayas. I am really happy, satisfied for this trek and again ready to come back to Flower Valley Trek with more experience with mapping the Himalayas.

Mapping the Himalayas gave us the greatest experience in India. The guides are wonderful and very attentive. We had a complete experience with hard trekking to the peak of chopta, walking through a fairytale Rhododendron forest and staying in a mountain village where all the food is made from scratch and tastes delicious. The sleeping facilities were very comfortable, especially the tent, which had soft mattresses and a very warm sleeping bag, giving us the most beautiful view of a snow top mountain range in the morning.

We did the Kinjapuri Sunrise Trek and would definitely recommend this company! We had a great time with our guide Ankush, who took us on a beautiful trek down the hillside, through the forest and past Neer waterfall. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and easy to talk to and he told us a lot about local plants and culture. He’s also a great photographer! Thank you for a wonderful day 😊

Thanks again for the great experience. The trek was a bit challenging but with experienced and nice guides it was a unforgettable. The views were amazing. I highly recommend this agency for trekking, they work with small group and individual approach.

Our Guide kally sir was exceptionally good in handling our raft and due to his guidance we were able to enjoy full 16 km ride at its best ..with moments to remember lifetime..If you want to go rafting look nowhere else. Call him asap❤️🔥
