The way to the temple is though a forest trek and it takes 40 -45 mins though leisurely walk to reach there. For senior citizens and very small children it will be difficult since the path has ups and downs and is slippery so would not recommend it. The beauty of temple is the path to it. The temple itself is small and during non-rainy season the waterfall is just a very small stream and not much of a fall so do not expect much once you reach there

A 2 km. easy/ moderate trek thru pine trees, streams and jungle is very enjoyable for nature lovers. We loved sitting by the streams on the way.We also carried a pair of change and towel to enjoy the waterfall. Water was clear and cold but not chilling. Standing under the waterfall and splashing water was fun. I wish there was proper changing room for ladies.
The temple is small but very neat and clean.
We hired a guide for rs.300/-to carry our picnic bags . On our way back we cooked our food there on a vast ground by the stream surrounded by pine trees .
Local food, tea and maggi is available at the base. Rate are reasonable.

The falls initiate way uphill. The place around the falls is dirtied by the visitors by throwing bottles around. Though authorities have kept various canisters for throwing dirt, people have to maintain self discipline

The trek ~1.5 km to falls is good for young folks, but definitely not for one going with small kids if you have to carry them. Though falls are a bit disappointing, flow is not that good as shown generally in pictures. JFYI, there is no mobile network there.

Visited in June’22, the way to the falls is through a forest trek with beautiful views of pine trees, small streams, birds call etc., it took around 45-50 minutes leisurely walk and with small breaks in between. However, the pathway has ups and downs, rocky surface, at places slippery and stairs, hence may be difficult for Sr. Citizen and Kids. During our visit, the waterfall had very narrow stream of water, spotted couple of people taking bath in the waterfalls. We hired a local guide @ Rs. 300, which was helpful during the trek. Couple of small shops that selling basic snacks and cold drinks are available at the starting point. Overall, while the trek was tiring but enjoyable. However waterfalls was a bit disappointing. While a visit of temple and falls through jungle trek is recommended, but visit only for falls may be bit stretched.

Amazing!1.5 Km long trek on side. Plenty of ups & down in that. Good for fun loving as you'll enjoy the track, not advisable for personal having breathing/heart issues. It proves the saying "The destiny hardly matters if your journey is beautiful." The waterfall is small but after the challenging trek, you'll definitely love the small accomplishment. A local guy is needed as they only can take you their. They'll demand high but can agree on Rs.100-125 only.

There are not many options of sight seeing in Kausani. Kausani is more of a leisure place and can be explored in a day. Since I went last week, water in the river and waterfalls have drained out. I believe Kausani is much more scenic in Oct-Nov when the rivers are flowing full.

Coming to the Rudradhari fall & caves, I feel its the only place to visit in Kausani. Since the temple is located deep, one needs to hire a guide from the entry point which are normally available for Rs.150. The trek is a nice refreshing trip especially once you visit the temple. There is a small waterfall near the temple. It will normally takes around 120-150 mins to explore this place.

Tips - Heritage resort is the best option for stay and offers scenic view of the himalayas.

Rudradhari Waterfall and Cave has a trek route of 2 KM inside thickly infested forest with hilly path and over the water stream of Rudradhari waterfall which is 10km away from Kausani. There is a small but beautiful temple inside the cave which is supposedly 2000 years old. This place is also known as meditation place of Kaushik Muni. I felt extreme peace after reaching the temple and waterfall.

There is another place to visit called Pinnath temple. Pinnath temple is situated at the hill top of 2750m height (approx 9000ft) and can be started its 5KM trekking from the starting point of Rudradhari Waterfall trek. This sacred HINDU shrine is dedicated to Bhairon and worshiped by the locals. Apart from the temple, scenic beauty of Pinnath Top is also spectacular.

It's a easy-moderate trek of about 2 KM's one way through the forests. Simple, nice folks from the village act as guides and it's better to take them since the routes could get very confusing since there is no laid out path through the trek. The waterfalls and the adjoining temple is a lovely, quiet place. We spent an hour sitting there in silence absorbing the natural beauty of the place. Perhaps the best thing to do in and around kausani
