It is the house of Sumitranandan Pant ji, converted into Gallery. It is situated amidst the marketplace. In the entry, a statue of Poet is installed. The Gallery exhibits parts of his life and work. The daily items used by the Poet is present in the museum, such as shawls, lamps, book cupboards and some citation, books, and handwriting dedicated to the poet, are preserved. The gallery also displays pictures of poet with other dignitaries. When we visited in June’22, the place was under renovation and hence haphazardly maintained. Wish after the renovation, there will be upscaling of the gallery. Overall a good place to visit.

‘Sumitranandan Pant Rajkiya Sangrahalaya’ is a three room house, birthplace of great Hindi poet Sumitra Nandan Pant, which is now converted into a museum. It has a statue of the poet. The gallery/museum has his handwritten poems, his photos with eminent poets, letters and few of his belongings; displayed in shelves. The museum is not in very great state; better if more funds be facilitated for its caretaking.
The place is looked after by a person who explains about the poet’s literary works and everything there.
A good place for literature lovers.

sumitranandan pant's house in kausani where is he grew and spent good 15-16 years of his initial life here. there are 3 rooms with photographs of pant ji with some stalwarts of hindi literature like mahadevi verma, harivansh rai bachchan, dinkar etc . there are also self potrait by dinkar ji and a life history through photos. there is a library which houses his personal collection as well as the first copies of his books. this place is a tribute to the first recipient of the gyanpeeth puraskar and must be visited while in kausani. absolutely loved it

Sumitranandan Pant, a well known Hindi poet hailed from Kausani. He has contributed a lot for Hindi literature. Children would correlate the place from what they have studied.
The place is very near the main chowk and some way uphill. The location is very quiet and very simple. The gallery displays handwritten poems by the poet.
The simplicity of the place is adorable.

Pant ji was no doubt a great and legendary poet.his house is on the way to anasakti ashram.it looks like any ordinary house and you can't think of the greatness of pant ji by having a look at it.here some of his works you can find but it is in a neglected state..y opinion is that you have to go through the literature of any writer or poet to assess his greatness and not just seeing his house.but you may differ with me as some people would like to go there.

Firstly you need to ask locals for directions to the place as it is in a basti with no signage on the main road below. The caretaker briefly explains you about the place and life of Pantji. It is mesmerizing to see his life in pictures and one can get a glimpse of what a great person he was. There's a hall and library dedicated to the works of Pantji. This should be on your list of to do places in Kausani.
