Golden sands with afresh-water stream which makes it ideal for dams and sandcastles. There is a large tidal range so watch you don't get caught out by the rising tide at the western end.

Lovely long sandy beach , plenty of room for school holiday crowds. Clear water, good for swimming but freezing cold even in summer. Tip, stay in for 10 mins and you acclimatise or hire a wetsuit.Great beach for water sports

Think the previous answers are correct. However be aware that when we visited there was a huge amount of building work going on.

The hotel is at the end of the beach where the work is as well so if your house is at the far end you should be ok. Also the beach is very long.
