    Beautiful
This beach is gorgeous, white sand blue water. Its a bit crowded but thats nice. The sellers for tours are a bit annoying ( they try to sell you a tour for 1000 peso and dont tell you you need to pay for a 850 peso lunch, im fooled :( ) But a cute beach with nice restaurants

    I Love Alona Beach.
Alona Beach is a scaled down version of Boracay but without the crowds and traffic. The beach is smaller but just as pretty. See the Alona Beach surfing dog. This area is known for the best snorkeling and diving in the PI. Island hopping to Balcasag and Virgin Islands is a must. Best fish and coral viewing. Lots of restaurants and shops in this area.

    Not a good experience
Beach is only cleaned once a week - piles of smelly rotting sea grass (except in front of Henann Resort which cleaned daily). Trash in water and oily residue from all the motor boats. Sand beach itself is only 5 meters wide. Plenty of bars, restaurants, and massage places make it crowded at night.

    Low season- perfect
Travelling through Bohol lots but I do like time spent here in Alona. Nice water to swim with plenty options for drink and food. Spent 3 days around here just relaxing and enjoying the space. For sure with September + the tourist will arrive, Alona will become very busy and noisy with party times. I prefer low season to better enjoy

Alona Beach is a testimony to awfulness….
It’s such a shame to see a beautiful beach and town turned into a dump. So surprised when we got here. Reviews and pictures certainly looked decent enough. However this place is awful. About time we checked out and went somewhere (anywhere) better than this.

The beach is nothing like the pictures I've seen online. The beach is dirty and there's garbage everywhere!

This is the most horrible place in Philippines, don't understand why is so popular. Hundreds of people asking is you want massages, food, trips and souvenirs. Restaurants are all bad but expensive, same as hotels. Beach is white but dirty and short. Paled with American and Korean tourists for nothing. Prostitution is very diffused. Avoid it!

Sadly, it is not worth visiting anymore. Alona beach is full of commercial establishment, overcrowded, noisy and polluted.

Even the beach in front of Bellevue resort has presence of green algae

I expected too much kasi nag base ako sa vlogs...

I am disappointed...

At night, lively ang beach front, may nag ffire dance pa. I ordered inihaw na liempo, a little expensive, maliit and hindi na fresh ang lasa.

Kumain kami sa isa sa mga seafood restaurant sa area na nat ooffer ng seafood platter, yung tahong hindi na din fresh and yun alimasag.

Nangalay din ako kaka hinde sa mga nagaalok ng services, left and right...

Kung peace and tranquility ang hanap mo, not here. Pero kung kasama mo friends ang party, ok itong lugar na ito.

It used to be beautiful but now its an environmental disaster and hawker hell hole. I loath it now. It's been destroyed and most beaches nearby are barred from free public access.

How to destroy a beautiful place in just a few short years!!
