Like mono lake

Absolutely breathtaking scenery. It is a little bit like mono lake CA US but made from coral reef. Locals has build bridges to get into so it makes very interesting.

This is just a natural site with a boardwalk, but if you go to Wasini, you should definitely visit it (we went two or three times during our 4-night stay). It is unique, beautiful at sunset and when the water comes (twice a month at high tide I believe). [note: this is the same site as Wasini Womens Group Boardwalk... More

The gardens worth a visit. There is a boardwalk that goes thorough the coral and the mangrove. I would recommend coming in the afternoon. The cost is 200 ksh and it goes to s good cause.

I saw the garden whilst it was dry and the sight of the coral rocks scattered across the field with the mangroves on the background was not only a sight to behold, but they also looked something out of this world. A must see if you ever visit the island.

We visited the Coral Garden after our boat tour with Wasini Boat Operators. This ecosystem is a very special place, fossilized corals sticking out of the ground in all weird shapes.. We walked through them, on a wooden boardwalk, and spent some time relaxing in the shade of roofed resting areas. We found it also very nice to be able... More

We were staying at the island, and I was cynical and might have skipped it, but there are not many sights, so we thought we would visit. The entry fee is very modest, and we found it to be quite beautiful in its own way. Even the mangroves. All in all, it was not what we expected. Certainly not earth... More

Visiting the coral gardens in Wasini Island will not take too much of your time but you must see them if you can. The formations of the coral are simply incredible. During our visit the tide was coming in and in a few minutes the place changed completely. Look out for the different shapes that local kids can point out... More
