The house over the Drina is great sight for a photo. You can see Bosnia on the other side and could swim there. Further there is besides a restaurant not much to see. Although it is worth it.

Drvengrad is ethno vilage at Mokra Gora region,on the slopes of mountain Zlatibor in Serbia.
It was built by Serbian film director Emir Custurica famous.for his film Life is a miracle.
Zlatibor mountain is the most popular leisure destination in Serbia :clean air ,sunshine during summer ,,and heavy snow during winter.
Tourist facilities include modern hotels ,cottages, skiing tracks....
The most attractive is Drina River House, never seen before ,unique house on the river which became the world famous attraction unforgettable picture ,after its photo had been published in National in 2012.
Must see,it is really miracle..

This is the story of a National Geographic picture that went viral. It all started when a young person decided he build a little spot on a rock to accommodate him and his friends when they used the rock as a swimming and diving spot on the Drina river. He acknowledged that he could never have completed the cabin without the help of all his friends that used boats to bring the construction pieces to the rock.
It’s considered private property now and the cabin is still used by the family and friends that built it. The rest of us stop at a restaurant which has the best view of the cabin and the rock. Tour buses come by as do the occasional tourists just to take a photo of the cabin.
You'll definitely want to take a photo. It's definitely one of those one of a kind moments for a photo.

A very popular attraction!
The idea came from a group of boys who built a shelter there in 1968. The first cottage was built the following year. In the torrents of the Drina river, the cottage was repeatedly taken away. In 2005, concrete foundations were made, but Drina again took the cottage in 2010. This current one is the seventh in a row and was made in 2011.
I have been a guest at this cottage several times. It was a fantastic experience with the food and drink served by the host. If you are interested, it is possible for me to arrange such a pleasure for you as well. Also, I can arrange rafting on the Drina with a boat or a kayak that includes a visit to the cottage.
I hope these comment will help you. If you need any help regarding this or any other attractions in Serbia (location information, transportation, guidance, organizing private tours, etc.) feel free to contact me because I do private tours all over Serbia..
Enjoy Serbia!

This little house is built on a rock in the middle of the Drina river and was next to the place where we ended our kayaking tour. Cute little sight that is something different from what you normally see.

It is an unforgettable little house located in the middle of the wild Serbian Drina river, outside the town of Bajina Bašta in the surrounding of beautiful Tara National Park, which has been shortlisted by UNESCO to receive coveted protection status since 2002. The view is spectacular and the photo of this house has been published by many national and international newspapers and magazines, included Daily Mail and National Geographic, which presented this house as the ‘’Photo of the Month’’.
The house dates back to 1968 when local men while swimming in the river wanted to rest on the rock. It was however not comfortable enough so they decided to build there a house.

Is it a private property or can we stay there?

It is a private property, as far as I know, it's not possible to stay at the house itself. The area around it is beautiful, with lovely nature (rivers, lakes, mountains), so definitely worth visiting and enjoying the nature...
