Neermahal is built on the rudrasagar lake. This was the summer relaxation place of tripura royal family. One has to travel by boat through the rudrasagar lake to reach the neermahal palace. From agartala, it take 1 and half hour to reach rudrasagar lake. There is a govt guesthouse where prior booking can be done for staying as well.

This is a lake on which Neermahal has been built. The boat ride on this lake to reach Neermahal is simply fabulous especially when you are just reaching Neermahal. Both Rudrasagar Lake and Neermahal is worth a visit as these places are the wonders of India

The lake is a sight to visit during monsoons. The magnificent Neermahal palace add to the majesty of this lake. One has to take a boat ride in this lake to reach the vast palace.

The magnificent Neermahal is made in the midst of this beautiful lake. It is a fascinating sight to view the reflection of the palace on the placid water of this lake. This lake covers an area of about 5.3 square kilometer and is home to a variety of resident and migratory birds. There are facilities for boating and water sports in this lake and a boat festival is held every year in the month of July August.
It is a beautiful sight to see colourful birds perched atop resting places or in flight from one portion of the lake to the other.
A beautiful lake which will appeal to every nature lover.

Boating cost 50/- to & fro. The water is not clean. Not worthy to touch it even. Neermahal entry is different. Neermahal is looking cool from outside. From Inside it is same as any large building.

It is a vast lake, with quite a few water birds like cormorants and ducks..
the palace at the center is accessible by boat..
people can also hire small personal boats for a fee..
but, the lake has plenty of organic stuff, which needs to be removed from the surface..
the lake level also, seems suspiciously low..
