Beautiful church

Built in the late 1700's, open to public most churches are closed until Sunday. Religious alters are very depicted in old style. Worth a stop for prayer and a pic or two.

The Cathedral was started in 1734 by the architect José de la Cruz, but it was not finished until the end of the War for Mexican Independence in 1826. It is a beautiful structure with a wonderful Plaza just in front of City Hall. It is lit nicely at night and the Plaza is a great place to walk about... More

This is a beautiful 19th-century church located in the city's central plaza. See it at night for a stunning scene.

Another very beautiful church with some actually nice artworks. As are most in Mexico, it is well worth a visit.

Pretty chuch on the outside. The indoors are simple. Around the church you can see some excavations of old pavement and a small religious art museum. The facade is beatiful and there is a lively, charm plaza in front.

I was here for a service and this is one of the places that was maintained when Chihuahua got all large streets, the place is quiet, and you can see all the architecture and paintings and saints inside. If you like to see some historic places this one you cannot miss! Hope you enjoy...

Impressive exterior, but the interior is very simple. I would have expected more for a capital city, but worth a visit, nonetheless.

The Basilica is a very beautiful church in the center of downtown Chihuahua. It can be visited in just a few minutes but it's worth it and the downtown area around it is really nice despite it being a center of offices and local business. It's surprising how calm the area is despite all the activity, it's very enjoyable to... More

This Cathedral is an old, old building constructed in the 1725. I had not seen this church in 19 years so I made it a point to go see the inside of the church as it is beautiful to look at. There are always people inside at any time. Don't miss it if you are traveling to Chihuahua!
