    Stunning sunset.
The views over Cape Town were magnificent and there are plenty of good vantage points to get that great picture. Lots of quality walkways and info boards up there. We went up around 1700 hrs and managed to see the sunset - absolutely stunning. Everyone clapped and cheered when it disappeared! Good facilities up there - bar, restaurant, toilets, etc Cable car was brilliant with its revolving floor!

Even bigger and better than expected
There is much more space and views to explore than I thought there would be. Allow yourself plenty of time to soak in the views, take little side trails and take pictures. FYI: There isn't an abundance of parking space down by the cable car station, so you may be walking to that -- and then you'll walk a lot on the mountain top. It is a little rugged in spots. There is an abundance of awesome picture-taking spots. Great gift shop for souvenirs and a place to grab some lunch.

    Excellent Views
Excellent views. Cool cable ride up and down the mountain, but it goes very quickly. An hour was sufficient for me. I was excited to spot the cute dassies on the rocks. Be sure to check if it is open on their home page if the weather is inclement or windy. BTW...it was cold on top mid July.

Most spectacular views of Cape Town
4 hiked up and 2 took the cable car. Hike was challenging. Views at the top were amazing. Advice before we went were to go to the top the first nice day during your trip. We had 3 beautiful days and two rainy/cloudy/couldn't see the top of Table mountain days. Luckily we went on the nice days. My son arrived later and never did get to the top.

Leave enough time to do this
Please please please leave enough time to visit this and go at the drop of a hat as soon as you can to see the mountain. We went up about 3pm but only had about an hour before the cable car closed. The views were spectacular (lots of inverted clouds). We went up the following day as it was clear sunny skies but it was closed due to imminent high winds. We basically only had one chance out of 4 days and I so wish we’d gone up earlier to make the most of it. There’s a walk you can do and also a restaurant and spectacular views.

    Can be a long queue
This is a must when visiting Cape Town, but in busy periods be prepared for a long wait for the cable car. We went while it was relatively quiet and waited 1/2 hr in line. We had bought our tickets on line, to save time. If you are pushed for time I would advise purchasing the fast track ticket, as the queue was much, much longer for the ascent when we were leaving There are ample photo opportunities, and grandiose views. Keep your eyes peeled for the rock daccies

    Spectacular Breathtaking View
The view from table mountain was spectacular and breathtaking. There is a rocky trail which allows you to walk the whole circumference of table mountain. We spent a total of 2 hours including the cable car ride.

    Unforgettable!
We waited for a clear day to hike Table Mountain during our stay and it was worth the wait, the views were AMAZING! We did the hike up as a couple on our own and felt totally safe and met lots of other hikers. We took the Platteklip path and it took about 2 hours on the way up (we got the cable car down).

    Glorious views
Take the cable car for 360 degree views (there is a rotating floor). We spent about a hour wandering around the top, with views over Cape Town and Camps Bay. There is a rocky path, fine with trainers. Recommended

A mixed review - he views from the top are absolutely stunning with a choice of 3 pathways of different lengths at the top. It was great to sit on a rock and just stare out at the views - beautiful.
However, the Ten 67 restaurant was horrible. It was filthy with litter everywhere, overflowing bins, no seats, really confusing as to where and what to order, disorganised (no cups available) and we felt it such a shame to have this place on top of one of the biggest iconic places in the world.
We did find Views wine lounge eventually and even though this was also sparce, untidy and had litter and food on the floor we enjoyed watching the sun go down with a bottle of wine.

You must purchase the fast track tickets. We arrived around 12 pm and the line for normal tickets had a 2.5 hour wait. We were on the cable car within 20 min and at the top by 1230. Lovely day. The fast track also applies for return. We waited 10 min. Spent a few hours. Loved it!

Even with the clouds shrouding the mountain in diminished visibility & must, this attraction is a must see. Footpaths are well laid out, and there is adequate signage.

Yes, it would have been wonderful to view one of the most perfect settings in Cape Town below, but even in the clouds each bend in the footpath brought a new sight.

Something that really impressed me was afaik there is no time constraint atop the mountain.

The cable car ride up is such a wonderful experience, the views spectacular, it turns as you go up so all on the ride get a good view. The facilities at the top were great, food, shop for touristy bits, the walk around the top had such different perspectives on the whole coastline. Was sad to go back down again.

This is an absolute must do in Cape Town. The views at the top are stunning. Make sure to go when the weather is clear.

It feels very safe at the top and you can do some self-guided walks. There's also a restaurant, toilets and gift shop at the top.

The ride up in the cable car was really exciting and easy to get onto. The floor of the car rotates as you travel which added to the experience. The views when you get to the top are absolutely amazing. You can see where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. There is a cafe at the top which sell amazing cakes. We saw the Hyrax dozing in the sun then loads of them eating and running around. There are lots of information boards which are an interesting read.

Definitely take the cableway to the top of Table Mountain. Magnificent views of Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula. Was really windy when we were there so be sure to bring a wind breaker. Also, sunscreen is a must. We were lucky when we went -- perhaps because we were with a group -- no wait for the Cableway, and it was a sunny day. We could see for miles.

we had a fantastic day out at table mountain. we were lucky enough to get a sunny day which meant we coud see for miles in all directions. The queue for the cable car was a couple of hours but totally worth it. we spent a good 2 to 3 hours on the mountain and made use of the bar (which was great due to teh the heat). probably the best part of our trip to Cape Town
