What a beautiful spot! Ainsa is so very pretty! We were there in late October on a sunny afternoon and pretty much had the whole little "town" to ourselves. How fascinating to tour around the town, do some shopping in the great little shops, then...More

Voted one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, it deserves it. Stone walls around the central market square and narrow streets leading to bars and restaurants with great craft beers and beatutiful views of the Pyrenees make it a perfect choice.

Visiting on a sunny Monday about lunch time I was surprised by how uncrowded the square was. It was peaceful and picturesque. Wandering through the castle ruins and climbing on the walls gives a lovely view of the plaza and surrounding mountains.

This is a great square to walk around early in the morning before any tourists appear. The views of the Mountains and the valley are tremendous.

This not-quite-square-square was a pleasant surprise after walking up the steps and steep slope from the new town. It is very well restored with lots of cafes and restaurants, and the castle is just 50m away.

We sat and whiled away a few hours here watching the swallows swooping around, people watching while drinking beer and eating ice cream. Wonderful place :). Just make sure you’re sitting under a parasol as the swallows have a habit of pooping on people 😂😂

If you are visiting or just passing through Ainsa, make sure that you visit the old town square. It is simply stunning and surrounded by bars that are in keeping with the location.
