Located uphill by the sea side. Take approximately 20 minutes from the city. You can go there by own car or by bus. The large parking lodge is provided. The bus schedule is every 15-30 minutes, quite convenience.

Katsuren castle is very impressive, well worth a visit. It's quite big, and climbs up quite high in a commanding location. There's an impressive sweep to it as you approach, more so than almost all the other castles I've visited on the island.

Extra points for the free wifi, parking and the QR coded signage and audio guide - it's genius and everyone should adopt it! Wonderful view from above - interesting ruins for an hour max.
